Said it before in these videos, it was amazing you got this fantastic group assembled, and it makes following more creators/reviewers easy. Also, this meeting seems to have created or strengthened a lot of friendships, that sort of thing usually is overlooked but is probably the most important thing. Michelle in her video with Kim Clijsters already made me decide on trying out the PD and I got myself 2 of those now, so while I'm not in any rush to get the 2025, I'm very happy it keeps building on what makes it so good and I can have one less thing to worry about in my tennis life with the knowledge that a new racquet that I can use is still for sale new.

Have you had a chance to hit all of them? They will all feel slightly different but offer similar characteristics. As you can see, we loved this one but I know a lot of playtesters are loving the EZONE 100 that is coming out soon; I personally lean toward the Pure Drive as my pick out of those 3 -- it's a super versatile racquet! TW: Great production! The new PD is interesting, but I’m concerned about my elbow…. How does this new PD compare to the new Ezone! If everyone in your group had to select either this new PD or the new Ezone 100 to take to a tournament, which of the two rackets would most of you select? Also, I like the sound aspect … Does the Ezone 100 produce a nice hitting sound? Happy New Year, John

If you are prone to arm tenderness, definitely worth it to be weary and demo first! But, I think we can all agree on this one with the addition of flax, this racquet is playing more comfortable than the previous one (with a shoutout to the 98 at an even lower stiffness rating!). However, with that being said, our team is loving the EZONE update as well and the feel is one of the standout features as it is quite comfortable. Of course, if you asked everyone which they would take to a tournament, I don't think you would get 100% of everyone picking one racquet vs. the other as they both are well liked and everyone has their own preferences. But I think we can saw with confidence, both the Pure Drive and Ezone 100 are great improvements on already great racquets for 2025! Hope that helps a bit! It’s not. The 2012 is still the best PD ever. Every PD since then has been worse. The newest one is a big improvement over the 2018 and 2021 versions.

I'm cynical about these things too, but a lot of people do seek out your model specifically now :) That said, I have a 2021 pd and a 30th aniv one I got because of discounts for these new ones and I'm not in any rush to change them for these new ones unless one of them breaks or something.

How does it compare to the pure rafa (not the origin). I like the less dampened feel.

Beckett (Tenncom) uses the 290gr Rafa personally and I think that him saying he wouldn't switch to the PD should give you some insight into that comparison if you're already using the non origin Rafa. Not for this new generation of PDs but, typically they say the PD is better to hit flat shots, and that if your game isn't dependent on spin, it's a better fit for you than the Aero, and on the flip side, that if you're consistent with your top spin or that is a big part of your game, take the Aeros and use the extra spin they produce to really help you hit heavier top spin, with the Rafa editions (both origin and 290gr) having a heavy swing weight to really help you swing that head around and get extra spin on the balls.

Star studded review. 98 seems interesting. How is it compared to the percept 97?

There is definitely more control with the 98 than the Pure Drive (100), having a thinner beam and tighter string pattern. With that said, the Pure Drive 98 provides easier power than the Percept 97, and it also has a stiffer feel compared to the Percept 97. The Percept 97 has more a traditional flat beam design, and is pretty flexible. I would compare the power level of the Pure Drive 98, closer to something like the EZONE 98. Troy, TW
