I'm such a fan of Henk's version of this song. His voice just feels like a warm blanket. Soothing and strong at the same time. Henk is Dutch pearl. Floor was totally fangirling over him. So adorable. lol (btw I like your shirt!)

Henk Poort can be a chameleon if he wants to. In this same show he also sang the country song "your man" and if you didn't know him you would think singing country was his shtick.

when he starts it is as if he tells of a mild summer evening. but a storm brews in the distance. that gradually comes over you.

To me this is perfection, his voice, they way he builds the song up from the ground all the way to the heavens.. its just a masterclass in singing for me. Fun fact to note, he added the "Rock rasp" for Floor, it was the first time he ever used the technique outside from the practice runs he had done to get this song under his belt and as you well know, distortion singing is a BIG no-no in his field of work so it was an actual challenge for him to do so. (but man.. he should use it more!! adds so much texture and power) Now you've seen him do the Phantom and the sound of silence, but to really get an idea of his versatility, i'd suggest 4 more of his songs.. IN order.. first "Noelia" which is still within his safe zone but just an amazing piece, second to check is without a doubt is "Despacito" where he'll take you to the Cuban jazz scene from the 50's, third to check is "Your man" where he will fool you into believing he's a Nashville regular and last but certainly not least, another duet he did, this time with Emma Heesters and the song is "Vivo per Lei" and thats .. just epic too lol Thnx for the react Nat, see you in the next one :D

Love his take on Disturbed's version, and, as always, your reaction. I actually love both singer's performances equally because even though they are very similar, they're still different. - Nat, if you haven't reacted to Disturbed's version, please do! (BTW, their music video for the song is awesome, but the Conan live performance is incredible, esp. considering David Draiman was sick at the time.).

When he did the first line, the people could feel the couches vibrate. He was actually a bit nervous to sing for "onze" Floor. Fun fact: It is the first time for him singing with distortion.

Henk Poort, The dutch versatile Bariton Opera singer (who alsoo sings as a tenor alot on stage), He lived in Italy for 15 years and almost sang with Andrei Boccelli before Andrei was famous, But Henk's Mangement botched it on money demands. 👀
