Plantar fasciiits is one of those injuries that no medical professional knows how to get rid of. I am among many people who've had it for a year and a half, and it won't go away. Nothing works. Everybody has their theory - "lose weight", "tight calves", "Ratleff protocol", "it's not actually PF", "see a chiropractor, it's coming from your back" as though because something worked for them it's going to work for everyone else. Unfortunately plantar fasciitis is a misnomer. It is usually plantar fasciosis, meaning tissue death. It doesn't matter how many anti inflammatories you take, how many hundreds of hours of stretching you do, how many pounds you lose, it's not going to make necrotic tissue healthy again. And the rate of failure in conservative care for PT is really an indictment on podiatrists and orthopedic doctors. It's not uncommon to see them for a year, trying 25 different treatment modalities and getting no results. That is my predicament. Would you bring your car to the mechanic 25 times in 25 weeks, keep paying him week over week, and still not have your original problem fixed? Bottom line is nobody really knows how to get rid of it, and if any of this stuff worked we wouldn't be dealing with it for years with no relief. I have no doubt that for some people, it will eventually go away with a year or two of PT and strengthening. But some people can't just ignore pain with every step for a year and be patient, and thus we fall prey to these voodoo quick fixes. I just finished 6 sessions of shockwave therapy - 6 trips to the podiatrist and $600 later and zero relief. I am heading for yet another Tenjet procedure. It's the only thing that got rid of it the first time (only for it to come back in the lateral band). It actually gets to the root cause by aspirating the diseased tissue out of the body. That is 50% of the equation. Keeping it away is the truly hard part. But very insulted and disheartened after a year and a half of PF in multiple areas of my foot and having so much of my time and money wasted. An orthopedic doctor wanted to do multiple $1,200 PRP shots - an experimental treatment with little evidence behind it - when his conservative care treatment wasn't working. Thank you for the offer to pay you thousands more after you were unsuccessful. If you're suffering find a Tenjet (or Tenex, but Tenjet is newer and has the added benefit of high velocity saline) doctor near you. It's not that painful and is a rapid recovery (4-8 weeks)

What other conditions would TENS also help? Such as knee osteoarth pain, ankle tendinitis and related details?
@SportsInjuryPhysio5 ай бұрын
It can help for pain in all areas of the body - but similar to plantar fasciitis - it only works for temporary pain relief.,

Arent TENS units suppose to Make the muscle tired so that it relaxes?
@SportsInjuryPhysio2 ай бұрын
No, TENS does not work in that way. And tired muscles tend to spasm rather than relax.

You and me both. Nothing works for this condition. And after a while, doctors shouldn't be paid if they repeatedly fail to fix the problem. It's the only profession you can be wrong and FAIL to do your job over and over again and still get paid.

@@GopiSai7132 Look into tenjet surgery
@crispycruiser46545 ай бұрын
@@GopiSai7132 That is ridiculous. Why live the rest of your life in pain? Go get Tenjet surgery. It ACTUALLY works by cutting the diseased tissue out of the body percutaneously (pinhole incision), not like this other crap that just mitigates symptoms of a chronic condition. 4-8 week recovery.
