If I could watch only one of your videos, this is the one!

Probably the most important thing about the shot i feel like all the other form stuff is just intended to make this part easier

Another Gold Medal video. I'm a 71yearold novice I don't have time to do things the wrong way. Learning correct mechanics to reduce injury,it takes me 3 times as long to recover,and getting satisfying physical activity is my goal.

Tension tension tension ....Great Video .A must for Bare bow .Repeat this in your head before you release ....The reason Tension is so important for bare bow is unlike the dark side and re-curve archers . We don't have clickers . So it's important to sustain tension once we have our anchor point .

Another well thought out and concise video! Did you have a professional help you setting up the lighting, sound and gray background ? Really makes your videos much more professional.

I am very new to archery, so i've been consuming as much content as I can. Out of all he videos I watched, this one had the most direct impact on my score. I's been 3 weeks, and I had been stuck at 380 (I shoot 18m indoors, recurve). Today I shot a 440 simply because I focused on keeping the anchor point tight, and keeping the release smooth. My front end needs work, as I don't seem to push at the 10 ring very well. Just wanted to say thank you for providing this information to new people within the sport.

TRUTH! This has been a focus of mine since one of your earlier vids discussed it... specifically the one where you told the Rio Olympics team round story where you released sight pin low but proper tension and direction still got you a 10. I shot trad for years (lots of bad habits to break) but this one focus during my shot (after a few solid weeks of daily shooting to start being able to incorporate it correctly) took me past the plateau I had been on and I feel like it's definitely clicking for me now. Still very new to barebow but from what I have shot so far this is helping me in that discipline as well. Keep up the good work Jake, loving every last video!

Good stuff. Suggestion: a video about feeling proper back tension. When you don't have a clicker or any other feedback to let you know you are squeezing the right muscles, it just seems like I'm hoping or imagining I'm squeezing the right muscles.

... and it's always the first thing to drop off my process list when I get lazy! It's now part of my transfer mantra : ) Thanks again Mate, the timing with your videos is uncannily perfect!

Me too. When I get fatigued I start to lose tension.

Really good content dude, i appreciate It a lot. Can you explain the direction and where to pull the rear elbow to get a strong shot with any style, please? Thanks

Great vid. What will be the result of losing tension before release? Like creeping before or breaking down at the moment of release.

#Jake Kaminski how to stay focused on that process instead of being distracted by the will to hit the gold? How to improve the internal attention to reach the real end of the shot and avoid my brain goes to the target in front of me. Lot of blank bale drills and what else?

Jake so if im using this in a hunting shot situation and I'm forced to hold for a bit and I relax back tension then I want to restart tension for shot how would I think restart of back tension when I let tension kind of relax at full draw, any thoughts Jake?

Although easy to understand what tension and direction means, not easy to implement especially when using a clicker, which makes it quite a challenge 🏹🎯👍
@JakeKaminskiArchery4 жыл бұрын
I think it is easier to apply with a clicker, just continue to built it through the clicker. The click is not the end, only part of the shot.

@@JakeKaminskiArchery As a barebow shooter trying to learn olympic recurve I find shooting with clicker quite demanding. That clicker activation needed to be done consistently without changing tension and direction from shot to shot is rather tricky.

Jan, like you I found the clicker is no “piece of cake”.
