I am also in the process of downsizing and curating. I finally realized how many pieces I was clinging to because of the associated memories. Great idea to refine your wardrobe. We tend to hold too many pieces and still buy more. Both piles were equally even. Actually inspires me to do better with my own closet. The fence items are cute, but if you haven't worn them in over a year (or 3) let them go. You'll find more loves throughout the year and those "on the fence items" will still be sitting. Let someone get more use than your hanger, LOL. Promise you likely won't miss them. 💕

@@dweakley1 right now I’m trying to get to 200 lbs and see how I look and feel at that time before deciding to lose more. I walk 5 times a week. I cook almost all my meals , and I eat clean. Limit processed foods. I gave up sugar… and have never looked back. Grow with jo is a great at home workout to help you get moving

@@tenwaystowearit I love ur content and your realness ! When I moved last year I was literally sick with anxiety because of all my clothes ! My husband had to help me get rid of stuff. A lot of stuff he took the initiative to decide whether I'm keeping or not because he knows I want to keep everything! And we literally got rid of carloads and carloads of stuff .. we probably dropped off at the thrift 10 times and I still had a ton of stuff left. That's when you know you've got a problem (thrift addiction for me) but either way I've cut back on thrifting a lotttt this year but I can speak from experience and say, I now know it's best to purge consistently so u don't get caught up n a mess like I did ! I still need to purge a lot more bc my clothes/shoes / purses pretty much crowd out our small apartment

The video we didn't know we needed! It was so satisfying watching you declutter the clothes. I did this recently as well, I also decluttered based on what fits/looks best on my bodytype too. I decided that if I haven't worn something in the past year, it's time to let it go, unless it's really special. I like all 3 of the fence ones, but I think you could get the best longevity out the second plaid two piece.

Hello there. I'd say keep #2 of the items you are undecided about. I understand and respect why you're refining your style. If we stay static in anything we're not growing or possibly improving. As far as fashion--I love prints also. I have some eclectic jewelry, and over the past years noticed it's been harder to make outfits attuned to me using both prints and the jewelry I love. Good job, I struggle with excessive clothes shopping as well. I don't have quite as many items as you (as you style and shop for a living as well). But it's a struggle. I'll be switching over my closet for warmer weather this week. I'll see what I can part with. I've also told myself I'm done shopping for the warm weather and I'm going to try hard to stick to that. I do a closet purge every Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. In my 50's raised a family, did a LOT of sacrificing for them. I owned mostly, thrifted and discount retail items. Now I am elevating my wardrobe. One of my fashion Guru's s says you should LOVE Everything in your closet! My goal is to feel and look fabulous in everything I wear!!! Keep #1 & #2. Sell #3. You have multiple unique jeans. Although you look fabulous in everything you style! Your inspiration is priceless. 😍

Thanks for sharing this! I loved comparing what I'd keep vs what you kept. I thought you looked great in all the "on the fence" outfits. I used to be a professional organizer, so if it helps these are the questions I had my clients ask themselves to help them assess when they had a hard time deciding: 1) Does it fit your current body properly without having to worry about it while you're wearing it? If not, can it be tailored to fit. (and will you get it tailored?) 2) Does it fit your current lifestyle? 3) Will you wear it in the future? And most importantly, 4) Does it make you feel fabulous? (Or however it is you want to feel when you get dressed every day.) There are, of course, always exceptions, but that's the basic jist of it. And feel free to ignore this if you don't find it helpful! Thanks for another great video and peek into your wardrobe!!

To be honest my favorite of the outfits was outfit number 1. I could also see that with a pair of linen pants in black with the hat. Fabulous. The plaid outfit which was number 2 was another one I liked as well. I would say that I would do it with a white shirt or a linen shirt in pink or blue. I do like the pants. I would say those are my least favorite.

My latest saying, I keep in my head when decluttering is “ When in doubt, throw it out” If you are refining your style & love to shop, you know you will be buying more items to suit your up styling, so make it easy & make room to see what you have & organise your wardrobe as it is now. I must say, I noticed one of the striped shirts ended up in the “donate or sell” pile, that seems a shame as it better suits your new up-styling. About half way through the video I had a little laugh to myself as it would seem you plan to go on many “holidays & vacations?!” 😉😂 Really? You have a big bold personality so many of the prints you’re keeping really do suit you so I’m glad you’re keeping a good part of your fun things too as you go more classy. I loveeee the plaid two piece you were on the fence about and think you should keep it, however, you haven't worn it and don't seem 100% good in it so it has tah go. The other two fits can go bc while cute, it doesn't seem.like you will wear or miss them. Good job in letting go!!!!! You purged a lot!
