The animation looks awesome. But I'm personally not interested in Terminator's plot anymore without John & Sarah Connor. As far as I'm concerned, the canon ended with T2, be it the official ending or alternate one with Granny Sarah. We could have had a near-perfect trilogy if not for James Cameron's ego contributing to screwing up the early plans for Terminator 3. It had some great ideas that would have brought everything full circle with the future war + time travel. Salvation was the best final chance to "salvage" the lackluster betrayal to T2 that was 3 (No, I don't consider that twist ending a "saving grace" by any means despite how emotional it made me). But they couldn't even let the story end there. Like countless successful franchises before and after it, Terminator unfortunately fell into the same old trap that's helped ruin once beloved IPs: It grew too profitable for its own good. Hence, the ever greedy industry simply won't let it go.
