What I want to see from a language learning game is I want to feel like I was dropped into a foreign country, and slowly picking up words/grammar etc. The first few levels , you will get assistance from NPCs who also speaks your language, but as the game goes on, you get to travel to other areas where there are less and less assistance, so you are forced to learn quickly.

I think the difficult part about making a language learning game is how to seamlessly transfer the intended language into gameplay scenarios that would make sense both in-game and real-life, but also incorporating puzzle elements of the language into it , so that in order to progress in the game, you just gotta have to master the first few basics. Say if you're learning Chinese, and you come across a side quest of a lady asking you to help her gather different types of vegetables. You would benefit from learning what they are ,in order to complete the objective, and as a result of completing said objective, you find out that she wanted to make a soup, which is a new word that you can learn ONLY if you did this quest. I mean there are endless possibilities for players to discover new structures of the language without feeling bored. I hope that made sense. @@FitProVR

I played this game on Steam and the problem with any game trying to learn language is the it needs to be fully voiced and gradually needs to replace all the text/dialogue with the native language it also needs contain the top 1000-2000 words otherwise your not getting enough language but this genre is too niche so for most developers it not going to be worth it and shows with this game being a port.
