Obsidian horseshoe being in A makes no sense, if there was an F tier, I would have placed it there. The only point in the game it could be useful in is pre-boss, since any time beyond that and literally any accessory replacing it is a better use of an accessory slot. It's also a little expensive pre boss. You need, in raw ingredients, 20 obsidian, a Lucky Horseshoe, and a Tinkerers Workshop to combine them. Since Obsidian can only be found very deep, you can probably find some Hermes Boots, a Cloud in a Bottle, or something else. Then, you use a Gravitation Potion, likely from a chest, to go floating island hopping to find a Lucky Horseshoe. You have a good chance you can find other accessories like a Shiny Red Balloon, or Fledgling Wings. Then, you beat the Goblin Army, go back underground to find the Tinkerer, then get that, and you might have enough money to get Rocket Boots too. It's useless mechanically, since you can easily negate fall damage with any hook, a bottle jump, or any wings. It's also useless for negating damage from fire blocks, aince you can just not step on those blocks, or put blocks underneath you to not step on it. A lot of "bad" items are usually just novelty items, used just to be silly, or some bad items have very niche uses that in certain circumstances become useful. Obsidian Horseshoe has no novelty value, neither does it have any niche use, since its components go into many other accessories that do the same effect.

I generally agree. One request is to say the tier you’re putting each thing in for audio listeners. This is the type of thing I’d like to listen to when driving or studying or gaming when I can’t look at the screen.

BAHAAHA Confirmed, I said that. BUT, to be fair the tabi's dash is better than the shields in terms of distance and speed. and I don't find the shields immunity frames to be useful in some situations like queen bee at low health dashing, or skeletron at all

its also the ONLY pre plantera dash in the game. so comparing it to the tabi is kind of silly considering its from the second boss you fight @@monkeesoftware

But, it also knocks you back when yoh dash against an enemy, and there were times when i was building and i fall off platforms or blocks at times lol

@@monkeesoftware Honestly, the fact it's SO early on in the game would move it up to at least B or A for me. We're talking the only Dash until you've killed Plantera. As for the Iframes... It's been a while, but i remember using it to GREAT effect on Duke Fishron, actually. Dashing *into* it's charge attacks rather than needing to dodge... Though this was 1.3 too.

great video and editing, I love that you put Magiluminescence on high A tier, I swear this item is so underrated! one of my favorite accessories in the game. But I still have a lot of opinion on other accessories you put lol - first is the Brain of confusion, that thing gives you extra DODGE, extra CRITS, and CONFUSE mobs, super great at early game(also works behind walls, so it tells you how many mobs are in the dark) - Shield of Cthulhu, basically gives you an extra dash at almost the start of the game, also great for instantly activating your full speed on Hermes boots (great when fighting bosses or comboing with grappling hooks for more mobility), also gives you an invincibility frame (good on Bee queen, Empress of light) and deals 30 damage, which is a lot in the early game, also gives you 2 defenses, and did I also mention that you can get it at almost the start of the game with a 100% drop chance (you put it at C tier same tier with (edit:) Inner Tube) (you put Master Ninja Gear at S tier, mind you that it's post-plantera accessories, but you put Brain of Confusion and Shield of Cthulhu at B and C tier, like these two pretty much do the exact same thing if not much better and can be obtained very early) - Guide to Plant Fiber Cordage is also good at early game, pretty much gives you unlimited rope, and ROPE is so freaking useful, so I think instead of D tier, it should be C or even B tier since you put Shiny Red Balloon there too, which just increases your jump height, and you need to obtain it at floating island and with a 25% chance too. I know this is your own opinion. But this is just my take if ever I can change your mind (no hate).

Oh man these are some great points lol. I brain could be A tier but I just don't like the fact that it's not cheese able compared to the eater of worlds and it doesn't guarantee survival from explosive traps(even at full health). The shield of Cthulhu could be better if the way to activate it was not double tapping, because I accidentally activate it way too often and I hate it. the master ninja gear is a dodge and a dash in one accessory which is why it's better than brain or shield IMO. The guide to plant cordage makes me waste an inventory space on plant rope instead of making it into actual rope when I can very cheaply buy all the rope I will ever need from the merchant lol. shiny red is annoying to get for sure, but it's a good accessory, almost doubles jump height." I dont get the hype behind master ninja gear. its post plant in the dungeon and I already have a dodge from the shield of cthulhu. theres no reason at all for me to bother with the major annoyance that is the post plant dungeon. I also strongly disagree with carpet in S tier and ankh charm in A. nobody uses just the ankh charm. it's instantly skipped into the ankh shield. and carpet is... meh. its from pyramids so already a gamble and even then I dont see much value in it. just running and using a double jump grants far better mobility and at best its a little useful while exploring.

Ninja gear is skippable in fact I often replace it with somehing so I probably should have ranked it lower. Carpet is 5 seconds of flight, which is 2 seconds longer than the best wings, and what exactly is the gamble for carpet??

I wish you could have explained your opinion on items like the Shield of Cthulhu and other popular items that were ranked in the lower tiers. I’m struggling in master mode and I would love some detailed explanation on some items. Good vid

You see I did that on purpose so you would comment on my video and I can explain in detail :) Popular items that come to mind: Shield of Cthulhu is an item that is not too hard to obtain, perhaps even the first expert drop you'll get in the game. However, I when slightly adjusting your position while wearing it often causes you to dash on accident and I've died enough times from that to not like the accessory anymore. The celestial cuffs are difficult to obtain from the low drop chance to the fact it only drops in sky islands, and even as a mage I find myself preferring other items like the shark tooth necklace. Items like the spore sac, volatile gelatin, and bone helm all don't seem to do enough extra DPS to be worth it to me. Please ask me more. I would love to teach you anything I know.

@@monkeesoftware Yeah but with no vertical movement and that slow horizontal movement I don't know what you could achieve, certain not a good mobility to fight bosses, could even do it better with a hook. But it's pretty cool ngl
