last cable guy at my place literally wanted to drill thru the shower wall! 2002 one drilled in a wall next to a plug w/o even looking down the wall to see that an outlet was already there, hidden by a bed... theyr not getting better training, they getting worse

That would be an absolutely normal Spectrum install locally. I've seen cable run across people's yards for years. They'll punch holes wherever it looks the easiest.

Great coverage... LOL Cable and phone are the worst at running new lines to rentals... Oh, dish installers too!

Pretty sure they use 3rd party contractors, but seriously... WTF? What recourse do you have when someone does such a bad job? At least we're forewarned now that we have to watch the installers like a hawk and yell at them whenever we see them trying to take a shortcut. That being said, I'd probably just undo the terrible install and do it myself, taking enough time to do it the right way. This is why you should pay installers by the hour, and not a fixed fee per install!

Now I'm not saying you're a lier, but I'm also want to say: there is NO way in h3ll that was really done by a "professional"! I mean, OH WOW doesn't even do that justice!!

From the strictest definition of "professional", its someone who gets paid to do a job. Sadly that probably means this was done by a professional, but they shouldn't have been paid for this job and if anything they should have to PAY for the repairs and for the work to be done by someone that has a clue how to do it correctly.

I can tell you with certainty that Spectrum definitely did this. This is one of the worst examples I've seen, but I've seen some that came close. There should definitely be some way of holding spectrum accountable for repairing the damage, and an additional level of punishment for doing such crappy/lazy work.
