I give it a 6.5/10. Maybe a 7. It was pretty entertaining, but I still felt like it could’ve been a lot better. As crazy as it seems it still felt a bit tame. To me, it seemed like half of the aftermath of most of the kills were hidden or implied, which in my opinion is what ruins a good slasher film. The entire bomb scene (first big climax of the film) besides one very short moment, was left up to imagination. But I do agree it definitely pushed boundaries that most horror film creators no longer push. I think the opening of the film does that well too I was mostly disappointed with the ending. Felt a bit rushed and it was much more tame than the majority of the film. I believe that the ending in a slasher film should be the most intense, and it was kind of lacking in that aspect But overall, I enjoyed the movie, I just think it was a bit overhyped. Loved Art’s facial acting though, I love a bit of ridiculous comedy in such a film for comedic relief I believe Terrifier is one of those franchises that will keep getting better and better, instead of getting worse. Overall, pretty good horror movie and in my opinion, has solidified the character of Art as a horror movie icon. People will be dressing as him for halloween as often as they do Jason or Michael

Well, before David Gordon Green got ahold of him he never did kill little kids. He did target one in 4 and 5, but those were retconned by H20. Of course you could chalk it up to societal norms of the time not being willing to cross that line and it speaks to where we are that kids can die brutal deaths in films now. I have not seen any of the Terrifier films and I really don’t plan to. Just don’t have the stomach for all that. And it’s not like I mind some gore, but I do believe there is a tipping point and films like the Terrifier, Saw, and Hostel films all went over it for me.

Its insane people expect a killer demon to have any kind of "code" lol its ok to kill as many adults as you want but no kids? makes no sense to me. I’m hoping that the third one doesn’t drag in some spots like the second. Based off of this review, it sounds like the director took those notes from the second one and the editing was a bit better this time.

It unfortunately seemed like some story stuff was cut to keep the movie down to a 2 hour runtime for widespread theatrical release. Like, even some super important kills happen off screen. It needs an extra 20 minutes, which I hope happens when it comes out on digital.

Terrifier 3 is the ultimate slasher film. The essence of classics like “Halloween” & “A Nightmare on Elm Street” isn’t lost, but instead intensified to a degree of depravity even the most avid of horror fans will find difficult to stomach (literally). Damien Leone-yet again-holds zero punches (or stabs) in his helming of this franchise installment, resulting in an over-two-hour bloodbath with some of the goriest, most brutal kills ever conceptualized and put to screen. Art the Clown is crueler and more “terrifying” than ever.. Every second the demonic jester’s on screen feels like a moment ripped relentlessly out of the worst nightmares you endured as a frightened, helpless child. The story and characterization are sharper than Art’s axe, as character development and lore building take the forefront of this holiday horror flick’s narrative. The cinematography and practical effects have been elevated to a level indistinguishable from its well-established contemporaries in the genre, despite the comparatively-massive budgets most of Art’s peers receive as a result of their long-standing franchises. Walking out of the film, I felt like my friends and I had barely escaped the grasps of Art’s blood-stained gloves after witnessing our own family members be dismembered right in front of our very eyes. Our hearts were pumping, eyes were wide, and we rode into the night feeling as thrilled as we did traumatized…

@MelMelodyWernerАй бұрын
@@redactedredacted6648 *he doesn't want to, which is a reasonable decision for someone who spends less time on reviews, for reasons he's been pretty upfront with (directing, becoming a father). I personally would much prefer he focus on films he enjoys and is passionate about if he has to pick and choose which ones he discusses. this is genuinely a dumb thing to get mad about. it's fair if you don't like that, if you want negative reviews, etc.. but the answer to that is... watch someone else. (this is not to say that Chris is above criticism; BetterHelp is categorically bad and he should stop taking deals with them. but there is a difference between reasonable criticism-"stop taking this sponsor that obviously sucks, you're not even hurting for money enough to justify that decision"-and whining over years old changes in direction instead of just... going elsewhere for your reviews.)

The first is so good 👍. And a better thrill ride in my opinion. How could you really top it though? It's pretty much a flawless slasher film. The second one is more artsy, and more production went into it; and it is a different kind of movie. I like it still and respect that they didn't just do the same thing again, but the first is a better overall slasher film imo.

I couldn't get into 3 because it rubbished 2 just like the last Terminator rubbished the John Connar legacy. Where was the girl demon that was bringing art back to life ...not there so you don't have dismembered bodies on the attack that was how you killed zombies by killing their heads. If this has no rules then even religion of the devil has no rules either so it is on another planet ie alien and thus I can't feel anything about it cause this obviously could never take place on planet Earth. Either young people want more expositon for half hr longer films or suddenly they excuse a shoddy story with they only were there for the mindless kills anyway. It invalidated 2 just like Joker 2 rubbished the first one. Bad sequels.
