Terry Funk was one of my favorite wrestlers, as a kid. In my eyes, he was up there with Hogan and Savage. A true wrestling legend.

There's a pretty glaring factual inaccuracy with the ECW portion here. Funk started in ECW in 1993,not 1996. He was involved in the famous Three Way Dance involving Sabu,Shane Douglas and himself in 1994. This is a pretty important part of Terry's career

Canyon is my hometown. He had a home outside canyon for years before moving to Lake Tanglewood. I served him coffee one morning at a local shop around 2003. While checking him and his wife out, I asked for his autograph and praised him for being a gladiator. He was using a cane and looked rough tho. He gave me a serious look and said, "I'm no gladiator. Its a love I've enjoyed, but it's destroyed me. Take care of yourself son." I haven't, but that meeting has always stuck with me. True legend.

I admired Terry Funk a lot, so I was curious why he would be the subject of something called the "Darker Side of the RIng." Thankfully, the darkest thing revealed was that Terry secretly snuck into comedian Jackie Gleason's dressing room, where they shared a venue, and peed on the comic's toilet seat. OMG, how dark! So, this is a phony come-on title. It got me to watch the whole thing to learn the title is bogus. It got to be kind of a boring listing of Terry's career moves without any theme overall. Add to that no video clips from matches (at least some of his bloody hardcore stuff might have seemed dark), this was pretty dull.
