No it won't. The Rock acknowledged his dad at times in his career because he had to. He was born in a wrestling family but The Rock is closer to his mom because of how his dad was doing her in their marriage, plus stories like this, so Rock really doesn't care about his dad to much 🤷🏿‍♂️I thought that was already a "Known" thing about The Rock

Is it just me or did wrestlers just seem more believable and authentic back in the 80's & 90's ? Maybe because we didn't have the internet then to see so much of their personal lives

Right it's nothing we can do now cause I believe the world is already in too deep unfortunately regarding the internet/social media but man do I wish technology could've remained a bit more stagnant for longer and didn't move along so rapidly cause things just seemed more believable at face value what u saw is what u got now it's too much overexposure of everything and that goes beyond wrestling.

As a kid in the late 70's/ early 80's, watching Wrestling At The Chase was my WORLD!! When Rocky Johnson was showcased, I was GLUED to the tv. Those days, Afro-Americans were at a minimum, on WATC. BoBo Brazil was a well over his prime but he was the only one WATC would show until Rocky Johnson would show up, sparingly. And he did, it was ELECTRIC!!

@Josh Traffanstedt That's too awesome!! Kerry was a HUGE guy. That was my guy, as well. At least you went to a wrestling event. I didn't. And what make matters worse, we lived 10 blocks away from Wrestling At The Chase & never went. Speaking of the Von Erichs, I remember watching David Von Erich putting the Iron Claw on Harley Race & David wouldn't let go. He applied it for 5mins. Race started bleeding & left a puddle in the ring. I thought the man was dead. Went to school the next day & every boy in playground talked it....... ALL DAY!!..... Great times

Westlers are also actors because they act different ways, baby face one day, heel the next. They are whatever they are being paid to be. As far as young rock, that was just a likeable character made for a tv show, it dont have to have anything to do with who he really was as long as the character helps with the ratings, thats all that matters to tv show. You can also be nice to someone for a couple of seconds and still be a peice of shit. People said Jeffrey Dahmer was nice, I wonder what the girls in his freezer thought of him.

Who made you the judge and jury anyone's decisions or decision-making? I seriously doubt that someone like you; having to spread snarky commentary just to self-serve your need to be what i like to call "smug cvcksuckers" have crystal clean hands at the end of the day. !!! Just Saying? Years of 'post-WWF alcoholism' (more than likely, to ease the pain) and 'excessive womanizing' just to fit into the wrestler's lifestyle -- OBVI caused him to make many mistakes while married and otherwise. Yet one could choose to turn the other cheek, and see all the accomplishments he acquired at a time where VERY FEW Black folk EVER got the kind of chances he did. What have you done lately that's so bloody special, eh? On a side note? It's obvious, that regardless of his issues? He was loved and cared about by his noted son & family; dare i say even - forgiven. And yet, as always...especially with the famous? In Death, the CROWS come out to feast on the bones; famous or not! Your comments, and the Creator of this KZbin channel's CHOICE to focus primarily on the bad vs. the good (i.e., "Darker Side of the Ring?") make that summation more than obvious. #asitalwayswas #judgysallysandersons

Has this channel ever done an episode on Tony Atlas? I think Tony's story is much darker than Rocky's. The man was homeless for more than a year and witness Bruiser Brody died in front of him!

@@blackatheistmillionaire1636 That may be correct but Tony was there when Brody got stabbed. he carried him to the ambulance, and rode with him to the hospital. Felt Brody’s blood on his arm and saw Brody holding in his intestines. Not to mention making a doctor come help Brody and seeing Brody’s feet turn blue from blood loss. He might not have saw Brody pass but Tony saw the worst of what happened to Brody.

@joshtraffanstedt2862 That's true. I noticed the same with Ricky Steamboat (Honolulu or Charlotte?), Cactus Jack (Truth or Consequence, NM), etc. later on. A great wrestler, and a pioneer for his time but what a piece of crap as a person. And on the part of the video with all the accusations, the thing about the shirt, even though it is it appropriate to wear certain clothes at work, that was a bit much. Everything else though was pretty bad. And not defending Mr. Rocky Johnson, but he’s not the only one that did that. A lot of wrestlers cheated on their wives while on the road. The difference was those guys at least had the decency the cob and said do use protection! Bret Hart, by his old admission by the way, cheated on his first wife several times. But he always made sure protection was used. I’ve always said the pro wrestlers are some of the horniest people on the planet, even today! I’ll bet it still goes on! The biggest thing for me is the denying his children. To me that’s very low and it also makes me look at his son Dwayne kind of funny too. How do you deny your brothers and sisters? Especially when there is proof?!

This was a good video. U know seeing this and watching Young Rock it’s almost sort of the same, like we know Rocky Johnson was a cheater. He slept around on his first wife and Rocks mom. He left his first wife for Rocks mother. But it was different too. In the show they Rocky was fired for wrestling in Saudi Arabia. But think in real life Vince let him go or his contract was up and decided not to renew it. Who knows why he left WWF. Rocky could have fought at the first WrestleMania but he didn’t. His only mania was at WM13 when he came into to help his son after his match. After wrestling Rocky’s life was hard. He went from wrestling in WWF then back to insides then he had to get a regular job. But his life got easy once his son made it and he ended up taking care of him til he passed away in 2020
