This is the first time I've learned that I'm supposed to believe Christ is protecting me from the Father. I've never thought such a thing in my 50 years as a member. Christ reconciles us to God and brings us back to His presence.

They say that whoever asks the initial questions, and frames the argument, and picks the language used, controls or "wins" the argument. I have often felt when discussing religious topics like grace, repentance, the godhead, the fall, etc. that I am having a conversation that has gone off the rails millenia ago and that can never be productive without a "reset" as you suggest. A reframing and new choice of articulation and understanding. I think that reset is happening in many places and in many churches to one degree or another as god sheds truth to those who seek. I sometimes wonder if certain protestant preachers aren't watching general conference and picking up on some phraseology and theological frameworks :) But seriously, I think God wants everyone to recover from errors of the past and many are. Thank you for your detailed work and I look forward to reading your book.

I loved this so much. And have thought about leaving the church because on ground level this doctrine has been distorted. But that I’m hearing from multiple sources a gentle move to truth.

Thank you for your research, informations and adding strength to our belief. I already have the testimony but your research added affirmations to the things we already believed

Love the analysis of protestant remnants of God's wrath and how pitting the Father against the Son is fallacy

Wtf. The Roman Catholic Church includes Ireaneus as one of our Saints and hold his Feastday on June 28th. From Wikipedia: “In a passage that became a locus classicus of Catholic-Protestant polemics, he cited the Roman church as an example of the unbroken chain of authority, which text Catholic polemics would use to assert the primacy of Rome over Eastern churches by virtue of its preeminent authority.” How the F does anything from the disciples living in 130 AD have ANYTHING to do with the Restoration?!? This is naive at best

Mormons: Faith trump facts. That's the message I keep getting over and over. I'm out.

Naive of you to assume that christianity is true. Why worry about a sad little god and his wrath when there is no proof?
