Thats my exact question. I did this yesterday and I had to open up more panels to fish the wires through the side vents. Took me way longer but I did it. This is a incomplete/wrong video to follow. There are other vids that show you how to fish the wires. Use those.

Thanks for the video. I have a set on order. I'm curious about how you were able to get the wire harness from the bumper lights up through the weatherstripping gap. Is there an opening near the taillight for the harness to go directly from the weatherstripping gap into the taillight cavity in the trunk for the taillight connector? I seen other installation videos that show a more circuitous route to get the wire harness from the bumper lights to the taillights.

It is a bit circuitous indeed. The taillight has space behind it for the harness and you can squeeze a hand in there. The wire is small and can slide under the stripping if needed.

I attached the wires before passing the wire transfer through the hole...Help.

The edge that the weather stripping mounts on is the demarcation between inside and outside. I used metal cutters to cut two cuts about 1/2in apart and 3/4in long to form a tab to be bent outward. I used heatsrink to toughen the wire at the crossover point and added putty to seal the gap. Over this joint, I used tape to hold the wire in place.... your mileage my very....

this is the best video for the install! There is a ton of them on youtube, but this one is the most efficient. took 5 minutes, the majority of the time was searching for misplaced tape:-} Thanks a ton!

02:47 - Seems to shorten the video's time duration, he has completely skipped important step showing how you fished that guide wire to get to the wire down there. Also,, he has not shown any other steps just final result everytime he's done... bad video. 😒

I bought the exact same one. But after installing it’s making all the lights blink when I put on the turn signal. Any idea why? The connections are simple. Don’t know why it’s doing that.

Lose connection? Sometimes cheap wiring can be the culprit

Was removal of light cap nut really necessary? It seems from the video that by prying the liner there is enough space to put the hand in behind to reach the connector?
