The jack looks very similar to that which is supplies with the Modern Spare (for Teslas) except for the "cup" which holds the puck. This detail makes it much better in that I would not trust the rectangular head of the Modern Spare jack without a puck but the small rectangular head tends to dig into the pucks surface. Otherwise it works fine as does yours.

That’s exactly why I chose this jack! I spent some time comparing options, and as soon as I saw it had that cup to securely hold the puck, I knew it was the perfect fit. It just made sense!

You should also buy wedge to drive your car with flat tire on because when you have a flat tire car sits even lower and your jack won't fit

I wouldn't feel around under there once there's any weight on the jack. If it slips, there goes your hand. I would visually check, maybe with a mirror pole? And I'm assuming you are having a tire delivered in this scenario and don't want to risk the AAA guy not having the right jack.

there should be a power lifter for that jack. kinda useless when we have no spare tire,,, besides an air compressor, I keep a can of fix a flat for emergencies

A power lifter would be awesome, and I've actually thought about getting a can of Fix-a-Flat too. But from what I've researched, Tesla tires have a ring of foam on the inside that might stop products like that from working properly. Have you used it on your Tesla, and does it actually work? If it does, I'm buying one immediately!

Now you need a spare tire.

Engines can be heavy and expensive. This video is meant for dumb people.

It looks too bulky to fit under the car if you have a flat.

already putting the puck into the jack and then positioning it will give you at least 1" more clearance. I think that's what you'd do in that situation
@Jimages_uk15 күн бұрын
@@galaxiedance3135 you need to get the jack with the puck on under the car first, and if you look at 3:07 the jack is already at its lowest point, and the puck is on the car, imagine the tyre was flat, the gap between the road and the car would be smaller, leaving no room to put the puck on the jack and still fit it under the car. I could be wrong, but it looks very close even with an inflated tyre to me.

Dumb. Buy a good jack and use pucks, problem solved. The issue with using crappy jacks like this is A, they break easily and B they take way to long to jack up. Get a decent hydraulic jack, use the pucks and be safe. Anytime you are on the side of the road time is of the essence, it's dangerous af. Get a better jack. Also, none of this matters if you don't have a spare tire, which I know I don't have for my 2024 model 3 performance.

Who carries a 4-wheel hydraulic jack in a car? No-one? And to go under the car it will have to be a low profile jack. And if you have a flat tire that's even less clearance. Why would it need to be jacked if a tire wasn't flat? (BTW - I change my summers/winters with a 3.5 ton 4 wheel jack but the car has to run up onto my mini ramp first.
