hey Daren & Ziet, i need your opinion on the tesla purchase. do u mean the enhanced AP is not really necessary as well? most of the time use for city drive & might only have a road trip once a year for my case, so the standard RWD version without any add on should be sufficient right? just worried if it is not worth that already spend on a smart car but not smart enough. im budget limited tho. 🤣

@@wjian333from my understanding the enhanced AP adds auto lane switching, auto park and park summon - the first one being the most unique since it’s not a feature i think any local EVs have it, while the latter 2 (according to Daren) doesn’t work as well as the Teslas in the US/developed country with better lines etc That said, you can definitely not buy the upgrade now and only pay for it later on when you received your car, and just subscribe to it later on - its just a software update!

It's a no for me. Flooding areas, hot weather during hot season, accident during crush, 8 years limit experiencing battery wearout from fully charge to lower fully charge, no interchangeable between charger, between cheap charger with the original charger. Careful also with the supercharge and normal charge. Though less maintenance than non ev, but be prepare to change ev car every 5 to 10 years, live like a Singaporean.

Roadtax for a Model Y RWD is RM3400 and AWD is RM6300 based on current EV roadtax calculation. We still need to pay roadtax after 2025.. although government is revising the tax structure but still wont be cheap (320hp is like equivalent to a 3.5L NA engine) We still don't have clarity on future roadtax structure, electricity tariff after government remove the subsidy and charging station fee structure. All this will affect our cost of ownership. A lot of gangho ppl just book without much consideration.

The range will reduce as time goes by, similar to any battery. Petrol still cheap here, I don't see what other incentives on using EV. Go green, I don't think so, cause somewhere power station still burning coal or fuel to generate the electricity you need to charge the EV.

Actually, Model Y basic, 455km 6.9s, Atto 3, 460km 7.5s are pretty similar. But Tesla using Ternary battery and BYD using lithium iron battery. Tesla battery is not recommended 100 % charging but BYD battery is. So that BYD atto 3 even can run longer than Model Y basic. In Thailand and Singapore, Atto 3 have been sell more than Model Y.

Buy Tesla, there is subscription now, don't have to pay full amount!!! Tesla will build more chargers in Malaysia soon and since Singaporeans pumping petrol in Malaysia is affected by petrol quota. Tesla car is the way to go. Electricity charging is a thing now, not affected by govt politics.

Charging will be a HUGE challenge. Most older condo/office building/parking lot will NOT be able to support/accommodate charging point because of the design. And also distance range is also an issue in Malaysia. It is common for Malaysian to travel 300km-500km across the country. So unless we have lots of charging point infrastructure, not an easy task to promote EV in Malaysia.

It’s definitely a problem to be addressed in parallel with the influx of EVs, we cant just jave more cars, we need more charging stations as well, but from what i can see the authorities are ramping up their efforts on that end so lets see!

basement carpark, multistorey carpark incl offices, malls and residential condos are not allowed to install EV charging stations as it did NOT and will not get bomba departmental approval. even after more ev stations are available in the country, to charge your ev is not an 5 to 10mins thing, it may take up to 30mins or more to charge. Hey, you may argue that well I can go shopping and sipping my coffee elsewhere. DO you know that many ev owner will just put their car there for charging and do an MIA for longer? just like our triple or double parking system. DO you think they blardi care about other users? you can horn til your heart content but owner wont be bothered to come out and retrieve his car.

So, first, if in some way, you nullify your right to a free replacement through your own carelessness, you will have to buy this incredibly expensive battery with your own money. If the original one is damaged. Second, if you wish to sell off your Tesla electric car after a few years of use, maybe for a newer model, you are going to be so dumbfounded and shocked when the buyer, a smart one, demands that you replace the battery first. You won't get much from the sale after you spend RM45,610.00 on a new battery. Finally, after 200,000 km, the maximum mileage a Tesla battery can operate, you will still have to fork out RM45,610.00 for a new one. So, think carefully before you get a Tesla electric car.

Firstly the lithium batteries also flammable tesla got case regarding that, secondly you not going to pay the dc or ac charger outside for 20/30 ringgit because in Malaysia the charger need to pay by per min not kilowatt so it will reach more then 100ringgit don’t trust me go n ask all the ev car owners.

@@ZietInvests The tint is a MUST and even with that, it's HOT. Saying all that, it's a matter of how sensitive you are to radiated heat. Some are not so bothered, some are. The only way to know is to drive one around on a sunny day.

Hey man great video, but just wanted to give you a heads up before you buy a Tesla. I've been in the car industry for a while and let me tell you something, firstly Tesla's interior quality is no where near it's German competitors. The EV fires 🔥 are less frequent but much more dangerous as there is not really a safe way to put out battery fires, so normally they just let the car burn. Also they're not fun to drive at all, I've driven almost every car brand and Tesla is one of the worst cars I've driven. Lastly I'll leave you with this, EV's don't save the environment they actually do more harm than good. A quick Google search for a smart guy like you will tell you all you need to know about that, as for legal reasons I can't share too many details. Also if you still want an EV because YOU LIKE IT and not because of peer pressure or "saving the environment", get a German car the quality if far superior compared to the Tesla's. If anyone read this far Thanks For Your Time 🫡
