Tesla Model 3 Wiper Arm Adjustment

Pull the wiper arm blade up to relieve the tension on the screw. Leaving the wiper down applies pressure on the screw

Gonna try to replace my left arm from my 2020 Model 3 for a 2022 arm since it had a new sprayer for washer fluid so the botom left corner of the windshield is not messy all the time.

Your trick was the best, but it's imputeant to use the same plyers you used, as others were not as effective, unfortunately the space is verry limited there, I slightly scratched the arm at the base, but was able to get it out and replace it properly, thankfully I have ppf on my fender, or I would have destroyed the paint there too, I don't know how technicians do it 😅, bu they couldn't allign the arm properly on multiple occasion, and they couldn't figure out how to get the blade rubber to be properly alligned with the windshild, it did not take much force at all for me to allign it, can't wait for rain to see how it performs now

You didn’t really show how you adjusted the wiper. You showed how you removed the wiper arm, that’s it.

It’s a spindle, you just move it into position you want. Remove the nut, pull off the wiper arm and move it into position you desire.

So you scratched the bottom of the wiper arm at the bolt, with the pliers. But you really shouldn't be working on a rental car.
