Listen here kids, when your wheel bearing is making a loud roaring noise that changes with vehicle speed, it’s time to have them replaced…..also wheel spacers add additional stress to wheel bearings. And if you run after market wheels be sure you also have Hubcentric rings on ALL four wheels. This seems like this could have been avoided.

Those tires do not belong on that truck and likely the failure was due to a spacer detonating under stress. In most states it is quite illegal to have said wheel mods on any vehicle, but especially on trucks.

Actually if you look closer, you'll see the rotor is still attached to the wheel, which means the hub bearing was shot. Still, could be partial negligence since I'm sure that bearing was making some noise before it grenaded. Fwiw. I've seen ball joints fail on completely stock vehicles that can send wheels flying off. As well as hubs on stock vehicles that can lock up and either send the wheel and tire flying or the vehicle into a ditch.

@@jimfergusondev If they used wheel spacers, they might not have replaced the OEM wheel studs with longer studs. The lug nuts might not have had enough thread to hold it properly. Those wheels are heavier and wider than stock, so that puts increase load on the studs and nuts
