Personally, as an Asian child, I feel just like Anna: my consciousness is so strong it makes me feel like anything I do is not enough for my parents, although I know the only person I should please is myself. It feels like a lot of pressure to be 'the perfect child' just the way they want, even though it's not the way I choose. Not to generalize, but I feel like every Asian raised outside their motherland feels pressured to be perfect, and I admire those who have overcome the fear of not being accepted by their parents
