I’ve been looking for an online job since forever. I’m a college student with severe social anxiety and no working experience whatsoever and the thought of working in person in a crowded place is my worst nightmare. Keep trying with free lancing on your free time. Do some low paying jobs , but do your best still . Use those jobs to Build a good portfolio . In time you’ll get better paying jobs with a great portfolio , if that’s what you’d like to do . Also , if you enjoy writing , you can go as far as writing a book . A lot of success is possible these days especially with the way social media is , it makes it easier for us artist writers etc . Rooting for your success love ! 💕

Look for God he loves You and have a purpose with your life. There is a heaven and hell and sins send people to hell and then to the lake of fire, but with Jesus You can make heaven following him obeying the bible. Transcription is difficult for me. I’ve applied to two different places and one of them told me I wasn’t competent enough to do it (basically) and I haven’t heard from the other company that I signed up for but they did grade me by making me transcribe a test audio and I got at least two things wrong for all 6 of the test audio’s I did. 😩This definitely isn’t for everyone I am jealous of whoever can do it right.

Honestly I believe it was just a software that will assist with transcripts but I didn't think of the possibility of actually needed the steno machine for the position(s). I have not started anything as of yet but I hopefully either I'll find the answer or someone has answered that for you. Overall I believe the employer would express if they wanted someone that is able to use the machine or if they're comfortable with just getting an actual software to assist you.

First, thank you for the information on Alpha Sights! That's a great lead. Second, I have been a contract legal transcriptionist for over two years now (many more years as a regular employee). It is my experience that one audio hour takes the average transcriber four hours to complete. This is because you type what is said then proofread your work. That being said, if the audio is not great or people talk over each other, it is more difficult and takes more time to complete. However, if you have great audio and only one speaker, it should be easier.

Here are some tips from me after working on Medical, legal, and general transcription...(10 years) Transcription is seasonal, you can only do it full time if you specialize on one thing. Legal is the best. Never lacks. If you work only in general transcription, you might be going 4/5 month a year with little to no income. You should always have a back up, it's a great job, and even better if you can get direct clients, instead of accounts...Wish i could share more but it's not my Clip...

Thank you for the video. I have question. If they pay $0.91 cents per audio minute, that is $54.60/audio hour. And if on average it takes 6 hours to transcribe 1 hour of audio, then the pay rate is $9.10/hour of transcribing. Is this correct?
