Thank you for the Great Video. I have an old Electric Mobility Rascal 235 scooter. It has two 12 volt batteries, with plugins to each battery box. Each plugin has 2 female ports and 1 male. I think I can use your method to see if my 24 volt charger is working. When I plugin the charger, I don't see any movement of the Meter, so I charged up each 12 volt battery with 2 amp car charger, but would like to use the built in scooter charger. There's a reset button, and I pushed it, but didn't seem to make a difference. Thanks for the concise and informative Video.

I have a winsunny charger for a invacare Pronto M51 Surestep. The charger displays solid red and solid green when charging. I have 2 new batteries and they have been almost depleted over the last 2 weeks of use. I have charged the power chair over night 5 times but battery meter on the joystick is down to the red now and winsunny charger still displays solid red and green lights when charging. Any ideas? Great video by the way.

Good video, but I'm working on an old Zoom 220 that has sat unused for 10-15 years. I replaced the batteries, and the fuse is good. But all it does is "click" in the reset button. The horn beeps, but that's it. Could something have deteriorated in that unused time? Thank you!

Thank you for your this tip. jazzy select 6 with 8 month acid sealed battery low usage in-house. original charger showing full charge green light, however joystick battery indicator showing low battery (only first 2 lights red, and orange, means 20% CHARGE), Battery measure 25.6v stand alone, and measure 24.3 under battery load test, (which measured while driving wheelchair and Voltmeter attached to joystick controller port). It is tricky as the load test for 1/2 mile on middle speed, load-reading start 25.4v down to 24.3v. The battery read 25v after load test which confused me. is the battery is ok and controller joystick reader is the problem. I replaced joystick controller as previous old one was giving same 2 lights low charge and in addition an error 7 times flashing code, which indicate joystick controller problem according jazzy select 6 manual. Do you think second (used) joystick controller also faulty in reading battery charge ?as it lights first 2 LED lights red and orange (out of the five LED) while in same time, battery voltmeter measured battery full 25v, and 24.3 under load test and same time the wheelchair separate corded charger indicate full charged battery greenlights? And if that the case, and since the controller giving false low charge indicator, if user forget and continue to leave charger hooked up extra 12 hours or more (while battery already fully charged as per charger green indicator light) does the overcharge would damage acid battery? Should I only consider the charger light as indicator as whether the battery fully charged or not AND disregard the controller light ? Thank you again for that amazing informative channel

Hello, how are you? I hope you are well. I have a Quantum wheelchair. I bought a controller because the one I had got wet due to the connector that charges the chair. I bought another one because it didn't want to work. It doesn't start working after it got wet and on the screen it says "Registering the Network." The controller I have now is doing the same thing. I would like to know if you can tell me what I can do to fix it. My controller got wet and I put my chair on charge like that and then the problem came. I thought it was the controller, but now I know it isn't because with the new controller it does the same thing.

Hi! I have a Jazzy Elite 14. New batteries, motors, and gear boxes put in about 2 months ago. My question is, is it normal for the charger to get really warm? But not hot. Mine has been getting pretty warm about 2 hours of charging.

Can you put volt meter on charger cord and read voltage from charger.mine goes from power on blue light to green light . It never goes to red like it's charging

When I check my charger off the chair I see 0 volts? The charger is not charging my chair! I see 10 v from the Charge port. The chair is only a few months old .I am trying to determine if the charger is bad or the batteries.

They have two batteries to get the 24volts DC required to operate the chair or scooter.

I have a 24v-8amp off-board charger for my Invacare TDX SP power wheelchair I normally charge it at night it turns on like normal to charge the yellow indicator light to register it charging goes to green light to register a full charge like normal but after that it shuts off for about two minutes then turns back on showing that it's doing a half of a charge for about two more minutes then shuts off only to repeat the cycle all over again. Wondering why?

I have a Jazzy and mine did this 3 months ago. It ended up being a "right motor fault". They replaced the right motor. I believe it was just a loose cable though. They replaced my batteries 7 times in the last 3 years and just realized yesterday they never gave me a new charger when switching over to Gel batteries. I have a 5 amp charger and I need an 8 amp charger. When your wheelchair shuts off.....check for a series of blinking lights. Count how many times it blinks. That tells you what is wrong with it. Gotta be a manual online somewhere. Good luck.

My new batteries aren't charging, with two new chargers tries. The charger indicator lights are always red and green, and the fan doesn't run they way it does when the charger is charging. I believe the problem may be the xlr charging port (12 years old). Is there a way to test it with a multi-meter? If so, please explain how, as I am only familiar with rudimentary multi-meter use. I have a links SX3 scooter it was going very slow check the batteries the terminals were loose so I just put in new batteries. The batteries are hooked up correct but now the scooter will not go and they are fully charged. I have lights on the control but the scooter will not move.

I have bought a new go go mobility and although the battery has been charged overnight when I take it out it is only lasting 15-20minutes if that. It starts on being on green but changes to red quickly. Can anyone help.

It sounds like your batteries are very low and have perhaps outlived their usefullness, which means they will not take a full charge. Check the volts with a volt meter. You should get 24+ volts if you have two batteries. Hope this helps.

Why couldn't you not just test the charger by hooking the volt meter directly to the XLR Connector itself?

Hi John. I hope you're still viewing posts to this video. I need a wiring diagram for a CTM HS-1000 Power Chair. I don't think my charger for this chair is working. The manual says to watch the onboard amp meter to see the needle vibrate while the chair batteries are charging, but the needle doesn't vibrate. It doesn't do anything in fact. Let me know if you can help. And thanks in advance.
