I test drove this vehicle and was impressed. I went into with concern over the 4 cylinder engine and CVT. My expectations were low. I still think they should offer a turbo. They nailed the interior! Very nice SUV for the money.

I agree that they should offer either a v6 or a turbo 4 option and I’m sure that it’ll happen soon. The interior is truly remarkable too and even the new 8-speed line driven CVT impressed me as well. There were times I forgot that it was a cvt lol but thanks for the comment man!

@@WTFCRLT1 I think the big thing with the 4 banger is the milage. As gas is hovering around $5 a gallon in the US, this is a big advantage. I switched from a larger SUV and I am easily getting an extra 10-13 MPG. That adds up quickly when you are commuting 50+ miles a day. It is not a sports car, but it is still faster than most cars built a few decades ago. Look up the 0-60 of a z28 or a 928 in the mid 80s. That 8.5 0-60 seconds is not too bad.

Just got my 2022 SEL Touring last week! I saved over $10,000 - $15,000 by going with this over the other brands. Very happy with the car. The roof racks are noisy and I am probably going to take them off. Also I miss the 10 inch subwoofer that my 2016 Outlander Sport GT had. Not sure why they placed the Bose sub under the floor where the spare tire should be in my new 2022 SEL. With the being said the SEL Touring for me was worth the extra money.

Its a real disservice to consumers not going into the fact this car is 100% Nissan under the hood. It has too much HP and torque for its JATCO CVT8 so don't expect it to get very far past 100k miles, just like most Nissan Rogues. You also you should mention rarely EVER, do vehicles equipped with a JATCO CVT8 make it to 200k miles. These reviewers mention everything but what really matters, reliability.

Great in-depth review! How would you compare it to the Kia Sorento 4 cyl with same horsepower?
@WTFCRLT13 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Its all about preference.. The Sorento offers an optional engine with an additional 100 hp while keeping a similar overall price and an 8 speed transmission (comes with the standard 2.5 as well) vs a CVT. For someone who wants space and good performance, I’d go sorento all day. However, the outlanders interior, ride quality, and sound deadening thanks to its dual paned windows FAR exceeds the overall luxury of the Sorento so it all depends on if you’re more into luxury or performance. Hope that answers your question and I’ll try to get my hands on a Sorento ASAP!

@@WTFCRLT1 I've read that Kia and Hyundai have had issues with their engines catching fire. I think Mitsu has a better track record. @@camillebehar6445 yes and also Hyundai and Kia are both using Kappa engines which are not known to be reliable if I were to choose between this and the Sorento I'd take the Outlander all day because it just stands out in the world full of crossovers and also that interior is the best in it's class and for me it even looks better than BMW's interior
