You need to complete all the tasks to gain xp lvl and money, plus discovering the map. And for the races every race play it 5 time before the xp and money decrease.

Yeah weird. A similar thing that always annoyed me with Forza is that basically every car you drive shoots flames from the exhaust. Stock, no mods. If you're going to use flames in your game, you should only allow them to appear with certain modification set ups. It would give them more impact.
