I guess it's what you get used to. I have the 2003 and yes, it is a heavy bike, but at 80 yrs old, I can still handle it no problem. For long distance, that weight is an advantage and makes everything smoother on you. When I get on my daughter's Triumph, it feels puny compared to the Wing, and not something I would enjoy driving long distance. However, to each his own..

I just got a goldwing this weekend. I’m 34 lol I love how the OD light turns on when in 5th gear . And the shifter kind of like tucks up a little bottle it felt like.

Most certainly well worth having a go, it's an experience for sure! On e I get a few things sorted, I'll do some more test rides this year.

I did try a gold wing and I did enjoy it and my wife really loved it. I bought a 2018 BMW GS but, my wife hated it and said it was agricultural and like sitting on the back of a tractor, so I have now changed it for the BMW R1200RT, took wife on the back and asked her if it was more comfortable. She said same shit different day as it is still like a tractor, it didn’t help that when she complained about the rear seat being awful, hot and uncomfortable, turns out the rear heated seat was switched on for the whole 30 miles and it was summer 😳🤣🤣. Still unsure if I can live with one now myself. 😬

Hahaha you talking about the wife or the bike? Mate I'm hanging out to take my wife out on the Africa Twin, she didn't mind the GS but we hadn't been on a bine together for 16 years! It would've been awesome to get her on the Gold Wing!

haha Those "squishy brakes" might be because it weighs 930lbs dry! Plus you, and fuel.... it's NOT your GS, my friend. It's a Clydesdale, not a racing pony.

Another great vid … well done Brett. Can I just mention the tinted screen really disrupts the experience. The “Pro” chip gives you Dynamic Pro and Enduro Pro, but you lose the ordinary Dynamic and Enduro settings (I’ve got a 2017 GS). With the plug installed you can change settings for Power delivery, Suspension mode, ABS and Traction Control to whatever combination you want for Enduro Pro and Dynamic Pro. To be honest, if you’re not going to make any changes, theres no need to keep the plug installed. I took mine out so I could use the standard Dynamic and Enduro… which both suit me fine. Video quality really drops off on your ride toward Jillaby. Did you make any changes ? Last couple of minutes are good again..... but up until then its quite pixelated, especially at speed. Regards... Bob p.s. : How did you get your display to show psi ? Mine only shows Bar.

Awesome advice Bob, much appreciated indeed! I’ll see what happens with the plug, at least I know where it is! As for the footage, I think it’s something to do with the age of my laptop. I did try recording in 2.7k but since it all comes down to 1080, I’ll end up changing my settings. Might head out tomorrow for another blast and see what I can change. Thanks again mate, I appreciate the advice always!

Hey Bob! So I can’t see how to change from Bar to PSI but I’ll keep looking to see what I can find! On another note, after looking into the video quality issue, it seems my latest videos are now being compressed by KZbin in low quality but my latest video I’ve managed to keep in high quality. Can you check that out for me?

I saw you cancelling the turn signal with the switch. The bike automatically turns it off for you like a car tho. Lmfao. It’s a car on 2 wheels. I have an fz1 and zpro too. Bike for every occasion
