The natural sustain of a Marshall, even with midgain, is part of the magic. Slash uses it to great effect. You have a great blues/rock feel in your playing.

This was always my favorite post-JCM Marshall. I almost bought a 50 watt head and stack when they came out in 1987 after plugging in with a PRS. I just loved the tone. It was everything the JCM should have been and more. I love the Jubilee reissue too. I played a JMP for years, then borrowed or owned a lot of Marshall combos for years. With Marshalls you have to get the tubes cooking. It's just how they are designed. But nothing sounds as good as a cranked Marshall to me. Nice demo, great playing.

The EQ is the most responsive of any Marshall. You do have to treat it as a single channel amp. Dime the output master and use the lead master for volume makes it sing. Great effects loop and quiet. I have not been able to get the clean channel volume even with the lead channel. Treat it like an 800 with some special sauce. Pull no knobs out.

Haven’t tried the 20 watt version, but heard it’s painfully loud. 5 watt mode won’t make a huge difference I guess, it’ll just saturate faster. I’m playing a load box so I can dime my Marshall (it’s a 50 Watt model by the way) at bedroom volume. Sounds great.

@@dpajc056 Not the Marshall Silver Jubilee studio 2525. It has a gain knob, a master volume and an overal master volume. This way you can turn it down without much compromise in tone. Sounds better than any one watt amplifier at the same low volume IMHO.

It is historically correct! Back in the 50s when you ordered a Les Paul Lefty, they would use a right handed neck and turn it around. Thus it looks upside down. Gibson kept it that way for the reissues.
