Whats the difference between the carbon and alloy frame in terms of performance
@Australianmountainbike2 жыл бұрын
We've only ridden the carbon sorry.

Realistically, could it be a do it all bike? Most of my riding is trail riding but I love to rip bike parks too.
@Australianmountainbike4 жыл бұрын
That's actually how Trek see it. Sure, you can race the EWS. But given the updates to the suspension kinematics, and the in-frame storage, they see it as a great aggressive, long travel trail bike as well.

Looks epic!

Hi buddy, what size is the one on the video and did you ride it yourself? if you did, how tall are you? asking because i'm 5ft9 and was thinking a L size but never had 29er so not sure if that would be too big. Cheers
@tylerdm18424 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend a M/L (18.5” frame). I’m 5’9” and ride a M/L remedy, fuel ex, and top fuel and they fit great.

@@Australianmountainbike Yeh i read it, excellent review but still not sure about the way it states, if you rode a medium, stick to the medium because it's longer and reach is bigger than before. I have a Remedy M/L on 441 reach and it's my mistake because it's too small for my liking. Slash being bigger bike (reach, wheelbase) i'm thinking i will have the feeling of being on the bike and not like a giant on top of it instead on size M/L but better on Large. all this would be easy if there was any in stock to try but there isn't
@Australianmountainbike4 жыл бұрын
@@skfunk4550 remember the longer reach is offset by a 15mm shorter stem, and the steeper seat angle and slacker head angle. Many bikes with increased reach over previous actually feel very similar when sitting on them and sizing up. But they have the advantages of the updated geometry on the trail.

How is it on the climbs?

improved on the last edition thanks to a steeper seat angle and new shock tune.

Sounds like large would be spot on - but go talk to your local Trek dealer to get sized up!

I’m 5’10” and got a m/l and it’s perfect for me. I would recommend a large also. Love mine just did 18 miles yesterday with 3000’ of elevation climb and it did amazing. This thing rips so confidence inspiring. Mines a 7 btw. But If you have the chance grab the 8 it’s specd a tad better but good luck finding one.
