I have a lot of sun damage on my left arm from driving with the window open and my arm hanging out for 40 years. The arm covers actually work and keep my arms from getting burnt or torn up when I work in my yard. They actually work well for me. I did buy mine from Amazon though. I can finally work in my garden without long sleeves!

I'm an optometrist, and the sunglasses looked like it is a pair of "fit over". They are supposed to fit over your normal pair of glasses. Also, you can check the polarization with another pair of polarized sunglasses. One pair in front of the other and move them like a pair of siccors. That is a much more accurate test. If they are both polarized, they will close out all light when you move them. Hope it make sense. Love your content.

If I’m correct, cheap sunglasses can also be a risk for uv damage to the eyes. The darkness makes your pupils open wider, and if they’re not UV filtered, it’s actually more dangerous than no sunglasses at all.

My husband drives a semi and gets a lot of sun on his left arm through the drivers side window causing sensitivity to the sun on that arm, so about a year ago I found these and bought him a few. He loves them. He only needs them for the left arm, so he can switch them out when needed. Also some of the places that he has to pick up or drop off requires long sleeves and this is a good solution to not have to go and change your shirt just to check in.

They stretch enough to fit even my arms. They are very effective as sun protection. I had most of the melanin scraped away from both arms in a bicycle accident years ago. I do have some of these items from Temu, I just opened another package I just got while watching this one, I paused at 19:45 at the spiralizer, my wife loves that thing, you put a finger in the circle and just spin it around, she uses it on potatoes and it works amazing. 👋🤠 P.S. it is meant to make the slices thin, you do not have to press hard like he did, with a finger, you turn it and the threads do the work for you.
@kikixchannel
@kikixchannel 3 ай бұрын
He pushed it all in at first, so there were no 'threads' to speak of. After that, he just instantly starting pushing it down, so again, he would gouge the inside out the entire time. That being said, I'm not sure I would trust that plastic to have contact with food. The design itself certainly works (he just used it wrong), but the material may not be a good idea to use with things that may contain acids or alkali.

Skin cancer researcher here! Those arm sleeves are a good form of sun protection. They're handy for driving because driving is really sneaky and easy time for burning your skin, or at the very least accruing a lot of UV radiation damage. I will say though, they will only slow down/ reduce the amount of UV radiation you are exposed to, so if you're wearing them and are outdoors for an extended period of time, you can still get burnt. So don't forget to wear sunscreen, even under these, and seek shade.

Covering your arms from sunlight is good. The trick with those sleeves is if you're sweating they multiply your surface area by about 6 on your arms from a cooling standpoint and they keep excessive sweat from just dripping off. 1. Stretch lids - I have a set, and not ashamed of them. Pretty sure I got mine from Temu & I think you just need to not fear the stretch. I think the Smallest lid would have covered the Coke cans and most of the soup cans. The one thing I learned once I got mine is, I have not needed a lid since. They are like reusable Cling wrap. The can silicone covers are something i use almost every day since im a regular soda/energy drinker and sometimes don't finish my drinks in one sitting. The lid will stay on if you're careful not to shake the can at all when you put em back or use it on soda cans that are only about half full. Also helps if the soda can is still cold when you put the lid on and put it on the fridge (cold soda expels CO2 at a slower rate). I use them in conjunction with a steel vacuum can cooler to keep the can cold.

I have one of those round ball ice cube trays. As far as I can tell that marker isn't a "fill line," it's just a thing to help the top half snap into the bottom half. I'm a big fan of the ice that I get out of mine, and I also use a larger tray with smaller spheres. A good way to figure out how much water to put in is to measure how much water goes in to fill the dents, then double it, and then you get a good idea of how much water to add in, but it's easier to just overfill it a little and then pour out the excess (or let the excess freeze on the top half so you also get some crushed ice).

I use those little plastic solo lids on my cans. You know, the ones you get To Go dressings and such in? They don’t grip so they will spill, but if you take the tab off the can, they fit nicely enough that the carbonation stays. It’s perfect for the fridge. Yes, also keeps the bugs out if you’re outdoors.

my problem with the silk sleeves is that they may not be UV resistant, they may still let in quite a bit of UV rays so you could still end up getting sunburnt through the sleeves

the reason the spiralizer has the SCREW threads is that it supposed to pull itself through the fruit/vegetable and the blade will cut it at same size. i have had a "real one" with my knives and its a plastic screw part with a metal knife part...

These are what I call banana box specials lol where I live, where you go to a flea market, there will be people who sell cheap Chinese products and they are always in banana boxes in rows on the floor with cheap knockoff items you would find on temu and wish lol. Every time banana boxes. Not knocking it, I've actually found a few things over the years like the knockoff lint brush for a couple bucks. Don't know why it's always banana boxes, but it is lol

Those sunglasses would be great at the dentist to block their bright light and keep the bits they fling all over off your regular glasses. Rather than wearing heavy shirts with sleeves or using those things, get some hiking shirts from a store like REI, they have super light weight breathable shirts that offer sun protection as well so you have long sleeves but they're made for summer.

@kathykrisko3228 I have 2 thicker arm sleeves that are printed with "do not draw blood or take blood pressure on this arm" from the hospital lol. I had skin grafts and some some bumps removed from one arm they constantly wanted to use it for pressure and blood and the so one nurse grabbed a sleeve. I too them home and use then inside out to keep my arms from getting all scratched while I'm berry picking. I have several spots of wild black raspberries and they have big thorns. My wild blackberries do too. It's cooler than wearing a long sleeved shirt yet still protects my arms. Now if you had old t-shirts you don't wear you could easily make tubes for sleeves

The steering wheel cover wasn't a valid test since you started out with a hot steering wheel and the cover only trapped the heat in. You needed to start with a cool steering wheel and see if the cover kept it from getting hot. The spatula is for eggs with no broken yolks that you need to flip and not break the yolk. My mother bought one in the 70s which I have now and just used last night. It works great for what it was made for which was flipping eggs with an unbroken yolk.

Why would you think that was a vegetable peeler? It's a wavy slicer, why would you peel with a wavy blade? That green spiralizer outwitted you too, you're supposed to hold the veg in one hand and put your finger through the hole on the end and spin it around that way. Give it another go, best of luck :)
