The mikrotik maplite is a brill portable router far smaller than the one in this video. I use one to connect to my phones 4g as a fallback connection into my network. It works very well and runs router os so very configurable and they are around £20.
@JoshyWins4 ай бұрын
I got a similar 2.5gbit switch from Aliexpress for around £20, which had two 10gbit SFP ports... The SFP to RJ45 adapters may cost more than the switch itself, but I've managed a consistent 10gbit between my Synology NAS and PC.. Fraction of the cost compared to the next 10gbit solution!
@mistermartin824 ай бұрын
The plug on the 2.5G switch is dodgy as. There is no fuse in it, i'd cut it off and put a new one on with 3a fuse. As it is your on a 32A circuit breker, that cable will be onfire long before it trips
@BadMax02_VR4 ай бұрын
its not dodgy, its less safe but not dodgy, here in the eu literally no one puts fuses in their plugs. its just that the uk goes overboard with their fuses lol
@mistermartin824 ай бұрын
@@BadMax02_VR in the EU you wouldn't put sockets on a 32A breaker(normally 16A). The plug is definitely not to UK standards, makes you wonder how much of the power supply is designed to be safe and compliant Vs cheap and happens to work
