I make my own hair products and what I find as a fine hair girlie is if I apply my blow dry cream and heat protectant serum after I apply my leave in on damp hair. I’m able to apply a little more product without the risk of it being weighed down. After I’m done blow drying you can see the gloss from the protectant serum on my hair and then I just flat iron.

I think the point is, if the heat protectant can form enough of a heat protectant barrier to protect the receipt paper then the idea is it will possibly be able to form enough of a coat over hair to protect it. Makes sense to me. Is completely accurate probably not but I think we all get the basic idea

@@claudettewatkins4237 It's not accurate at all. If you want it to be you use human hair extensions and look at them microscopically after the experiment..I'm a trichologist by the way, so I speak based on studied facts not on "the basic idea". But yeah, take from it what you will ☺️

@helsinki-syd that's also something you could do! Definitely on like a human hair wig or extensions! Now that'd be such a good experiment. But how accurate would that be since most hair already has damage to it to a certain extent. Also would you be able to see the damage immediately or would it take time? This would be such a cool experiment!!!

@@claudettewatkins4237 in order to do that experiment you have to use something that is structurally very close to real hair. Can you use heat protectant and flat iron on your real hair without shampooing, conditioning/deep conditioning, rinse it? Noooo. Can you do that washing process on a paper? Noooo. But surely you can do the washing process on human hair extensions. Yes it's damaged at a certain point, that is why before starting the experiment you look at the damage already present (microscopically) and then you will compare it later with the effect of the heat protectant s you used, to see which hair is even more damage or not. You can do that experiment even with repair products (mask, conditioner etc...).
