Excellent first pull i felt your excitement. Looking forward to your generator build. Regards Stephen in Melbourne Australia.

It was shock and excitement! I already gathered most of the things I will need to build the generator, so that should be the next video. Thank you for the kind words!

That's awesome bro! Stumbled across your channel a few days ago, seen your experimental science 😂. That's awesome. Makes me want to build something similar, I've got tons of waste oil I need to do something with. Keep it up bro, not to many people left around that want to tinker and make stuff happen, they just wanna sit around and play videos games, etc. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I've always tried to make things for myself. I appreciate you watching, and I'm glad you enjoy the videos!

I run home brew diesel 20% and centrifuged used motor oil 80% in my military trucks and military generator, lister petter diesel single cylinder engine, they run better off that than pump diesel. I use lister petter diesel paired with 2400 watt pma alternator from thermodyne to charge my forklift batteries, were offgrid with hurricane wind turbine, and 17000 watts solar. Heat home with used oil also.

That's awesome! I'm working on it! My ultimate goal is offgrid totally.

Very cool I like the video you did making diesel fuel distillation with a paint can

Mine came with a water pump manual too, lol, I’m trying to get it running right now.
@karlsoffroad3 ай бұрын
@MAKESHIFTFARMs make sure you turn on the throttle before you try to prime and start it! Lol,I made that mistake. I had no issues after I realized that controlled the fuel pump.
@MAKESHIFTFARMs3 ай бұрын
@@karlsoffroad idk if throttle is working rights, seems broken, but I have it at half so should work either way, I primed it and diesel came out, put back together and refuses to start
@karlsoffroad3 ай бұрын
@MAKESHIFTFARMs If diesel is pumping out of the line at the injector, it should fire. I know you have to pull it pretty damn hard! They have a ton of compression. I only set the throttle to about 25% when starting. I'm still using my homemade diesel in mine, and it runs awesome! I'll do an update video soon.

How much torque does those little engines produce?
@karlsoffroad22 сағат бұрын
@@gavinhodge2290 I can't find any torque specifications. The only specs I can find are 2.2 KW maximum output at 3600 RPM.

@karlsoffroad thanks I will try with that info....I'm building a small well drilling rig and need a set amount of rpms

that idle sounds like old bike engines, would you try using that diesel engine in a bike?
@karlsoffroad2 ай бұрын
@josebotelho427 I built a generator with it for testing. I might put it in my daughter's go-kart!

Hi sulfuric acid+ triethanolamine makes the black oil color looks like red can u suggest another chemical for yellow colour of diesel instead of triethanolamine
@karlsoffroad5 ай бұрын
I don't do any chemical treatment. Alek Polek has a bunch of videos on chemical bleaching and deodorize treatments.

@ZarawarKhan-gs8hr5 ай бұрын
@@karlsoffroad one u comment if I remember correctly that sulfuric acid then adding potassium carbonate cleans the black oil with finally using bentonite powder(sodium, calcium) .
@karlsoffroad5 ай бұрын
@ZarawarKhan-gs8hr someone commented that is the treatment they use,but I haven't done any chemical treatments. I run it just how it comes out of the still. I am doing some long-term testing in my engine to see if I have any issues.

Dumping it straight in there is a no no it contains solids that are formed with water that need to be filtered out as well as bitumen tar and suspended tars that are not soluble
@karlsoffroad7 ай бұрын
It's an experiment. I bought a cheap engine for a reason. It seems to run well,so now I'll test the durability. I know that it's not exactly what you should do,just what I'm doing. If SHTF,then I wouldn't have access to any treatment options. That's why I'm testing it in raw form. Thank you for your suggestions on my other videos as well! I always appreciate the words of someone with much more experience than myself.

what do you recommend to get rid of the ''bitumen tar and suspended tars '' . I gummed up a couple of injector pumps with tar 🙂

I run this type of fuel for 12 years it does no harm to any engine if treated properly if improperly treated you will only clogged filters pickups filters and pumps

Strange fuels are bad news. It likes a thick aluminum plate to mount on. Oil consumption is high until it breaks in. I made a 20 mm to 1 inch adapter and will buy a 7 inch pulley for a 10SI alternator. I turned in the blocking bolt so it won't ever get revved. It uses like a coffee cup of road diesel an hour.
@karlsoffroad7 ай бұрын
I'll take the chance. I bought this motor for testing homemade fuels,so I am willing to sacrifice the motor for the information I'm after. Thanks for watching!
