Testing my new wastegates. Are they any good?

Now I know I'm 2 years late, but are you putting straight air compressor psi to that diaphragm? If so, I'm guessing At least 90-140psi? Perhaps you were just cramming wayyy to much pressure for those cheaper diaphragms to be able to seal against. If that's the case, I'm sure they would do fine with just 10-20-30psi?

doesn't surprise me, most of the chinese waste gates have problems unlike the blow off valves. the thing with on line reviews is your going on alot of peoples opinions that really honestly don't know what they are doing and don't understand completely how things work. you on the other hand do, that is why you tested them. i would hate to guess how many blown engines have been caused by over boost by junk waste gates. $350.00 waste gates are cheap compared to a built motor. i really was surprised when you switched because you never cheap out on parts. good luck on the build, can't wait for spring to see this bad boy run!

Shit that Sucks bud! I feel your pain man. I bought on eBay a Chinese fuel petcock for my son’s atv with good reviews it arrived broken. The EBay seller ordered me another and that one arrived broken in the same spot!! I know your issues are due to manufacturing and mine are from shipping. Im so glad u did that test , i hope they do u right with returning or what ever they do, me personally i run 2 percision 40s and never had a problem out of the box .

Andrew the wastegates will be fine going off brand. But with them leaking that's not going to work. I run knock off trial without any problems. Just make sure you have the correct springs installed based on idle vacuum

Made in china crap. Good thing you tested those. I have been down this road too with other stuff. Learned that cheap Chinese stuff is just that cheap. Good job on checking those before you installed them
