Testing New ASICS Shoes | Japan Headquarters

Lucy travels to Japan to visit her shoe sponsor ASICS and take part in some testing of the new racing shoes which are currently in development.
As well as a busy day at the Institute of Sport Science, she also got to visit the main headquarters, explore Kobe and Kyoto, try some of the local cuisine, and of course do some running exploration in the city.

2:19 Fun fact: The letters that she passed spells the name of the town for the foreigners but if you see em as Cyrillic alphabets it says (vekove) in bulgarian which means centuries. I'm really diggin' the white outfit and it looks good on Lucy. Asics's team and HQ seems to be lit! I just got more hooked up on the brand. Can't wait see what they come out with

so fascinating! i was sort of stuck on a few models of shoes from other brands that just worked for me and i never bothered branching out because i was just comfortable. it was your content that inspired me to try out a model from asics and i was so blown away. i've since added 2 pairs of asics to my rotation (3 total, including my marathon, race day shoe) and am so stoked on the brand, products and quality. thanks for inspiring me to try something new and hats - so fun to see the process at asics HQ which adds another layer of appreciation to the brand! cheers!

i love asics design; however, it is disappointed to see they don't think about the shape of our feet. Our feet were never designed to be squished into a round toe box. as a result, the big toe caves inward, causing most people to develop bunions and not allowing the big toe to absorb impact and propel the foot forward. Altra and Vivo are great running shoes that are designed anatomically correctly.
