3:50 I predict a broken windscreen the first-ish time you got a big bump with that thing loaded. Also, try packing your flex tube with straws at the MAF sensor end. It will help make the laminar flow the sensor was expecting and you can put the tube wherever you want. Naturally you'll need a way to stop it from sucking them through the engine though, like a coarse sieve screen or something

You can make a perfectly fine seal with a snorkel that slots into place by having the connection be very tight. It was also already redundant anyway, because water would destroy the electrics in this less-than-watertight Jag long before it got to the level of the snorkel.

Since the air intake is front mounted, the snorkel is for water splashes rather than deep water.

If you’re looking for spots of rubbing why not try putting chalk or something like it on the tires. Then when it rubs it will leave some behind and tell you where. Although you’re going to need a lot and it’ll leave quite a mess on the ground as well. (I recommend staying out of water too.)

put a 2" receiver hitch on front and rear and then run electric's for the winch - then when needed a quick slip in and pin and plug in the electric's and pull yourself out then remove after extracted.

Your snorkel is just going to inhale every drop that comes over the hood. The best place is in the cabin, close to the roof. The idea is that YOU should drown before you swamp the engine. It gives you time to cut the ignition and save the engine, before swimming to safety.
