It tries hard. It chugs along and needs a rest. I forgot to mention, it gets hot. Once that happens you have to stop and let the little guy settle down. It's so cheaply made I expect it to die every time I use it.

Lori, This video is AWESOME! if there were an award for coloring videos this one would win it. You always make your videos so interesting, the music is wonderful for this particular subject and time of year, the speed is not too fast(at least for me) and The STAR JOY GOLD PENCILS ...mama mia wow!! when will they be for sale? I need them now! and of course, your coloring expertise is beyond compare. You make it seem effortless. I have a question… I am in awe of how you (and many other artists too) know how/where to leave spaces uncolored for highlights. My question is, how did you learn to do that or is it something you just know how to do. Been coloring about a year and I struggle so much with this skill.

Nobody really needs the one I showed. I didn't even include a link because I didn't want to hear it if things went south with it. Mine barely works, but it's a cool tool. I wish they would fix the quality. For 60 dollars it's crazy. It's worth around 10-15 at best.

I have the Exacto Electric .. a very nice long point. I Don't see much of the color coming off mostly the wood, saves my pencils..Its the Large one..had multiple sizes to sharpen.. it only takes a few seconds to sharpen.. This is my preference..It IS A lot Bigger than I imagined..wow!! I hope you kind what you like..Afmat I heart is a AWESOME one also.. hugs3🙏❣

Tihoo handheld. 5 settings for different points. It's very cheap but works well. I love mine.

Cool Halloween picture. Happy you used mixed media. Please remind me when using alcohol markers & colored pencils which needs to be the base? Or can they be layered in no particular order. Thank you

Think about it. Ink and water color soak into the paper not taking tooth. Oil pencils and wax pencils go into the spaces of the tooth. They basically sit on top so using water color and ink first always makes sense. With that given there is a beautiful shifting of the colors when you use alcohol over wax or oil. The marker will break down the pencils causing it to smear. This brings out really nice colors. So in general use marker as a base and then play with it.

What is the difference between Deli and the Star Joy pencils?

Star Joy originally took over making both Star Joy and Deli, both different. NOW, Andy is selling out of the original Star Joy, and selling out of Deli, and will no longer make them, and will only be making StarJoy Gold Edition from now on

Deli is a known china supplies store (similar to staples) and sell their own colored pencils. Star joy is a smaller shop (hg-legend). Hg-legend simply sold deli pencils at a loss for western audiences. The gold edition is the one done w lori.

Physically they are much much different. Andy didn't use the same cores. The cores for the Golds are much higher grade. As for the colors, they will probably be similar but not identical. It's a balanced set so you are always going to get main colors.

I'm waiting for the release of this pencils. And I'm a bit sad, I can't afford the colotIt book. In Germany it cost about 30-40 $ plus shipping😥 But it looks amazing what you did. Thanks for trying out more with this pencils and also thanks for helping making them.

It took about a week. I kept thinking it was going to be a quick one but when I worked on it the colors were blending and swirling so nicely I decided to just keep going. I could have taken it further but I ran out of time.

Wow looks super Halloweenie. In using oil pencils is it best to begin with light first layers?

Always build your colors from light to dark. This just means a lighter version. Notice I started the posts in a light yellow. When I went over it with the darker pencil I was able to bring in those lights and control it. Had I started dark there would be no place to go but darker. I started the pumpkin off with yellow even knowing I was going to be using orange and brown over it. This brought in the light from the inside of the pumpkin. With oil pencils you don't have the mixing of the colors you get with wax pencils. You can see colors through your layers.

What don't you like about the regular. Actually these are not going to be any more expensive than other Budget brands. There is going to be some big discounts if you get it using my code plus they are going to put an additional discount on them at the Amazon site. This is for the holidays and release.

Yes. They are quite expensive, but they mimic the prisma color pencils really well. I don't regret the price

He gets better and better each day. Tomorrow we see the heart doctor and find out what activity we can do. I can't wait to go on vacation! Crossing out fingers. His kidney is back to his old level of function, which is his normal (not anyone else's). He was born in stage 3 failure and has been that way his whole life.
