Amazon basics pencil set - My thoughts - adult coloring supplies

If you are interested in another budget set of pencils.. I watched a try out of Masterart (smushed together like that) this afternoon.. they are from Thailand. The demo was a set of 12 in pink tones, and they looked very nice on Bassford paper... great color selection, smooth, pigmented. Popped over to US Amazon and they had multiple themed sets (portrait, landscape, seascape, greyscale, and others), a 72, a 120ish (can't remember exact number) that includes pastels, and just a week or so ago released a 150 that includes metallics and neons. The 150 comes in a tin, the rest in boxes. Octagonal, named and numbered, full body color, uncapped ends. They are quite well known in that part of the world apparently, sold in stores, and are not the typical white labeled "same as the rest" pencils but their own distinct brand. I'm trying very hard not to buy any more non-open stock pencils.. but I was tempted. The pinks were really lovely with a lot of variation... warm, cool, grey, brown, etc.

Nice review Emma. I love your Matchstick Mouse picture. So lovely. But then I think you could create a soft and gentle masterpiece out of just about any pencil. It's your skill that counts. They have offered a nice colour choice in that 72 selection though.

Thanks for this review Emma,I've been curious about these pencils. They look well packaged & presented, and your swatch shows a good range of colours. I'm impressed by the thickness of the core considering the low price and feel tempted to try them although I don't need them. Your review has been helpful and interesting,and I liked the mouse. :-)

I just have 120 set of Polychomos. I do need pastel colors set..... and Jacksons Art dont do Stock Holbine anymore? in the uk...from what I have seen . Good review glad you like them. Happy craftring xxxx

As of right now what do you feel is the best brand of pencil to use in the Amazon print books? If you were only going to color in Amazon books what one set of pencils would you make sure you had? Hi hun.... If we re talking budget the arrtx are my current favs over alcohol marker for a quick and effective color..... Except skin which I prefer luminance
