Testing the Ninja Dagger 8'6" Fishing Rod surf fishing casting lures

🎣 I usually surf cast with my 13ft rod, it's a suitable length for me. Sometimes a 11ft up to 14ft, it depends where I am on the shore or rocks.... 🎣

Yes! They really are! I’ve not tried the 12’ rod. How is the sensitivity on the at one? If you ever want to throw artificial lures, I highly suggest the 8’6” that I use in this video. Thanks for watching and tight lines! 😁🎣

@@jeremymarsh41 I typically use 25-30 lb high visibility mono (I really hate braid), but you should be okay, especially if you’re targeting larger fish. What size is the reel you will be using? Mine is a 6000. I use a 4 oz Sputnik with this rod.

I was wondering about the 8'6 rod for surf fishing, do you only use lures, can that pole be used with live/dead bait? I am new to surf fishing and having a hard time with casting out far, was wondering if one that length would benefit me? Love your videos.

Chenoa, yes it can be used with cut/live bait. Super light rod, but much stronger and sensitive than your think

Thank you! Yes, I love that rod for casting lures. It gets great distance. I just caught a flounder on it today using a float rig with live shrimp. I paired it with a piscifun 4,000 reel and it works beautifully together. I’ve got super slick power pro braid on it too (even though I’m not a big braid fan)
