Just use 3 9 V batteries on the fire alarm control panel then click them onto the batteries and click them onto the fire alarm panel, plug batteries, and then it won’t display the trouble

The fire alarm panel can see the resistance of the resistor and if it doesn’t it knows a wire got broken
