The loads are the same I think you are just seeing the ES of group size for those loads. Try another barrel. Also I noticed in your old video of your new rear bag that the bag rocked up slightly under recoil, might be worth looking at that. Thanks for great videos and feed back - you are easily the most informative and real out there IMO - best of luck John.

Hi John - any update on solving this problem?
@magic42215 ай бұрын
Any way to confirm it's a load problem.....and not an equipment and or rifle issue?
@roubensarian29933 ай бұрын
What target shooting camera do you use? I purchased the Longshot LR3 a lot of software issues.
@FClassJohn3 ай бұрын
It’s not a camera. It’s the Shotmarker system which is an electronic target system.

@@FClassJohn what do you think of the Longshot LR3 compared to what your using.
@FClassJohn3 ай бұрын
@@roubensarian2993 I don’t have a lot of experience with the longshot systems. I know people who use them and it works well for them, but I think it’s probably better for a steel situation rather than precision target situation from what little experience I’ve had with it. I can tell you I wouldn’t use anything else other than an electronic target system for what I need to do.

Well I feel your pain , been there . Almost seems like the barrel is at the end . I’m sure that you wouldn’t be working up a load for the big match with heavy count barrel. John is this your usual powder or something different ? I can’t believe the ES SD you’re getting ? Had something like that once when primmers got mixed up .Thanks for you humble content you shared

Is shot marker ES usually close to radar measured?
@FClassJohn5 ай бұрын
Not really. It's often in the rough range but I would never do load development 100% from it.

Great Video as usual John. I noticed that the caliber is .308? Are you no longer shooting the 7PRCW or 284 Shehane, 280 AI? F/TR? It looks like 100% load velocity variation. Not sure what caused the extreme spread issues but I’d talk to whoever does your hand loading LOL!! As you know some variation could come from loading ahead of time and not seating the bullets prior to your test as well as Carbon ring, rear bag or maybe your setup won’t let you consistently control recoil. I understand some like to really hold the gun tight and some like to practically free recoil. Your thoughts? Thank you again for your channel. I have learned so much from you and your honest candor. ThorroClean is a game changer!! Cheers!!

Were the ES/SD numbers verified by the Garmin or just shotmarker data?
@stevekiemele9955 ай бұрын
Can you use your Garmin chrono during competition?

nope, no electronics during official NRA matches. Local club matches don't usually care.

I know that you cannot use electronics while shooting and that the Shot Marker does not give the most accurate sd and es, but that kind of leads to another question after watching some of your load development videos. What do you consider to be a good es and sd? I have read all sorts of different numbers on various forums which I trust without reservation (since anything written in a forum is totally factual and error free), but from a competitive F Class shooter, who follows very, very detailed loading proceedures, what do you consider to be good sd and es? Might be worth a video if you have not already done one in the past.

Hey John, can you ask KZbin to stop playing Kamala donation commercials before your videos. I'm tired of looking at her before I watch you excellent videos. Thanks, have a great day. LOL

@@williamsweet7511 ugh I wish. I have zero control over the commercials they play. That’s why I prefer to have channel sponsor videos instead but I can’t always do that.

Maybe it's a seating depth issue. Load up 5 or 10 rounds, use your single stage press, confirm your seating depth vs loading on the dillon. Was your neo x all tight, I've seen this when just one screw is loose on the front rest. Check your action, scope and rail mounting screws. How do you seat your primers. Do you use primal rights? Firing pin spring? Was this one of your new borden actions or the one you already had? Did you take a barrel off your other action and put it on one of the new actions, firing pin fall could be slightly different based on sear engagement. Did you buy a completely new trigger for your new actions or take it off the old action. Is this a the new stock or the old stock? And so on... so many possible causes... This is what makes it fun for me. Trying to figure out what is causing a problem, even a small problem. Sorry about the Kamala comment. I know you can't control KZbin.

Man hiding shots on your target the second day almost like someone was shooting your target just to mess with you and who you were shooting with. Or they just couldn’t read the number board and forgot what target they were shooting on.

Not bad John, i was asked to g to F Class practice in STAWELL VIC AU on sunday 11/8/24, or as you Yanks do the dates, 11/8/24 and my score was 48/50 for 10 shots did not take the 2 sighters, which were at the 11am position and a 3 or your nine, in anycase, its a .223 at 1,000 yards and 1,100 yards and both scores i had 4V's and then only 5's and 4's, plus i have not shot a weapon for over 35+ years. and i do not own a gun or a licence. Also 2nd time round at the 1,100 yards again got 4 V's and then 5's and a way off 4 for my last shot, which the wind must have picked up, as i followed all the standard marksmanship rules, as per the military etc, anyway still scored a 48/50 in the end. If only i had the money i would go into the sport 100%, maybe a sako or Tikka etc, with a good scope nothing expensive,20 MOA rail and get it set up for long range PRS stuff or maybe a Ruger prs, its just expensive to go into the sport especially if you want to compete and win various classes etc. Cheers. The owner was Wayne S. Cheers Buddy, keep it straight mate. 🦘🦘✌✌👌👌

Ahhh, I see you continue to chase the carrot on the stick in front of your nose. You still believe that every & any small change you make affects only what you want it to &, that all is revealed in 20 shots. How many years have you & all the other shooters been chasing the carrot never realizing that the answer you don't want to see is in all the groups you've shot over the years. All the statistical proof you need is under your nose but, that carrot looks so nice & juicy & then there's all the explanations you can think up to explain it all. Good luck chasing that carrot.
