Quand Johnny chante "Le pénitencier", est-ce que ça fait de "The House of the rising sun" un classique de la chanson française au motif que Johnny la chante en français ?!!! Non, je ne crois pas, ça reste un air traditionnel du folklore américain, et de base, chanté en anglais. Ici, "Lo Boièr", c'est pareil : c'est un air traditionnel occitan, certainement pas "français". Ce n'est pas interdit de l'adapter en français, en anglais ou en japonais, mais ça reste du folklore occitan, pas français. Même cas de figure pour "Joan Petit que dança", je vois souvent ici et là des versions traduites en français ("Jean Petit qui danse") mais là encore, c'est un air trad occitan, pas français. Le pire des cas de figure, c'est le plagiat du morceau trad occitan "Ai vist lo lop, lo rainard, la lèbre", détourné en français en "J'entends le loup, le renard et la belette"...

Surtout qu'en France, il y a une propagande régionaliste qui utilise le catharisme aussi bien dans un but commercial que politique et aussi, c'est important de le savoir, anti-chrétien. Il y a beaucoup de charlatanisme autour de la question cathare et le tourisme dans le département de l'Aude notamment se sert beaucoup de ça pour attirer les clients. Voilà pourquoi je maintiens ma position.

And to be honest , even after louis XVI , french was very important (during napoleon , during the second empire and even during the third republic with the vast french colonial empire ) A lot of country speak french , even country more populated than french like congo . And even with that , french language still have a value in itself , like tons of other language have . It is not because a language is not popular and widely spread that it lost his value (french is widely spread but even if it wasn't ,my point is that french ,like tons of other language , will still be valuable )
