I am sure when you were listening to the Bee Gees the older people back then were horrified at the music of the 60's, like say, the Beatles with their long hair (just over their ears, lol) ect. It's a generational type of thing like with the young liking Taylor Swift. I guess you think her music is crap also? People like the current music that aligns with their age. There always seems to be that one magic spot in every BeeGees song where the harmonies just suddenly transcend all description. It's not just the brilliant songwriting, it's the arrangement and orchestration and a dozen other things that allows the voices to pierce through what in the hands of lesser talent might have been just a catchy pop song. Still one of the best songs and one of the best groups of all time. RIP Robin, Maurice and Andy. They adapted to what the era needed showcased by some of the best Disco Music ever!

Beautiful…… takes me back 50 years plus to the school holidays when summers were summers and a few friends paddling in the local river🥰always brings tears when I hear this lovely song😭those long hot summers of the 70 s. Those 6 weeks seemed like a year when you were so young😢

I'm sure 4 out of 5 ppl agree with you, as I do. I wander if even the bee gees knew why they gave up this kind of music and did a career change over to disco. It's kinda baffling. I really like 'You're A Holiday', even though it's sorta eerie mood.
