7:30 as a certified whore for the 104, I have to correct you here. The F-104 was developed as a pure lightweight day fighter, not an interceptor. Kelly Johnson interviewed Korean War fighter pilots and asked them what they needed in a fighter jet. They said speed, so he delivered by wrapping the lightest possible airframe around the biggest possible engine available. Hence the stubby wings and top speed of mach jesus. Energy maneuverability theory, air to air missiles, and the harsh lessons over Vietnam weren't a thing when it was originally developed. It eventually moved into more of an interceptor role and was quite well-suited to it, but it's not what it was originally designed for.

My best moment in this game was seeing a Canadian Farmer absolutely roll 3 greys in a row with their shotgun before my troops got there to support them. Looks like even in the virtual world, when war comes to Canada the gloves come off. Literally made me stand up and cheer for the mad lad

I pretty much only equip my naughts with Tompsons, Garands, Winmags and Express rifles. I research the other weapons, but just prefer the BPL armory. It is a fantastic mod for one of the most amazing games ever. I started with Xcom way back when. Once again Tex Play Thru complete with military history. thank you sir

How you'd do xenonauts with the open vs closed "what we do" sounds like a great choice at the start of the campaign. Do you openly tell the world you fight aliens and people laugh until they stopped laughing, or not? And eitherway your choice you will have to Deal With It.
