Y'know, the last few episodes with Patrick reminds me why they chose his vouce actor to voice Bulkhead in Transformers Animated: Bill Faggerbakke (yes that's his name) just knows how to do lovable lunkheads. Except Bulkhead was actually fairly smart, and much nicer than Patrick (also, they got Spongebob doing a damn great Starscream and other miscellaneous characters) Btw Alicia, when you find the time, I totally recommend Transformers Animated. It was basically a Transformers show as a 2000's Superhero cartoon, so you got an episodic structure playing into an overarching plot with likable hero characters, devious villains (it ain't Transformers until more than one robot dies a brutal, heinous death), and legit excellent character moments with a lighter tone. All of that with robots that transform into public service vehicles and war machines.

Conspiracy thoeory: Sandy is a Mink, and everyone in Bikini Bottom are Fishmen. Here is the proof: Spongebob DOES know karate, after all; Fishman Karate, perhaps? Characters' strength and durability will vary greatly, and they can unnaturally sense shenanigans. Haki, perhaps? Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy are the same size as the fish people, meaning they are canonically human-sized. The most morally grey character (Mr. Krabs) used to work for the Navy, a very morally grey organization. Body Manipulation skills like Kumadori possesses explain some of the cartoonish variances in form and how people can recuperate so fast. The list goes on. Clearly this is a conspiracy worth looking into and not a joke at all.
