Love that comparison. I would happily devour both. Being a Texan, I would probably favor the smoked, but as they say, variety is the spice of life. European with the mash, or Texan with the pinto beans & jalapeno & onion. Great dilema to have!

Both look delicious! I love cooking a brisket joint in my slow cooker, with just a bit of liquid, moist and fall apart tender but more like an oven roast than a pot roast.

The Dutch brisket combined with mash looks incredible. I love smoked brisket, but it's everywhere in the states. The Dutch brisket reminds me of home cooked meals that my mom made with love and skill and always included potatoes.

Nice showing the difference. I don't think there is a "winner" between the two because they are SO different in method and flavor profile. Apples to oranges comparison. But they both look great in their own way... pick the one you want for any particular occasion and go for it.

As a Texan that smokes a lot of brisket, not quite. No smoke ring on that meat and the smoke flavor is likely not very noticeable. Use a real wood smoker and smoke for 8-12 hours at 225-250 f depending on size. Free game

OK, now ya did it: my Houston Nephew is flying out personally to tweak your nose for this video!!!! A Dutch oven, he says, is something a brisket should never see, go in, or even be mentioned! That had to be European beef, We dont braise it either, at least not to that extent. The European edition is how we do potroast here. Im a big fan of that. We usually use crock pot after searing. Ive never done brisket, I will be soon picked up weber e6 its a long hauler. Always enjoy your videos. H Matchlak. I happen to see 16" wok, with e6, Or kamado with spider great things could happen, do you have a wide array of wok recipes, Im thinking that could add to subscibership.

Difference is European beef is fit for human consumption, American beef isn’t, that’s why it’s banned in the uk and Europe. Along with yank pork, chicken and eggs.
@bigmattsfoodandmore668 Жыл бұрын
The other thing American beef is... Better tasting. USDA prime beef is much better than European beef and US beef is more preferred worldwide and that's a fact. Our pork is better too. America just does meat better.
@bigmattsfoodandmore668 Жыл бұрын
The real reason that US meat is banned in Europe is because we already out-compete you im meat exports and you don't want your own nations buying American meat over inferior European meat so you use overbearing government regulation to prevent it.
