I LOVE texas sheet cake! My mom made it all the time growing up. It is so delicious. I especially love it with walnuts over the frosting.

One of my all-time faves. My grandmother’s recipe is nearly identical...I made it this weekend, but hers calls for a teaspoon of cinnamon. It sounds weird, but it is really good! I have done this cake with a peanut butter frosting made virtually the same way, and also a peanut butter sheet cake. There is ALSO a white sheet cake with a little almond extract that is SO yummy and tastes like sugar cookie dough! ☺️. Hard to beat this one though!!

i love this recipe! it is super chocolaty, and super moist, without being too heavy. it is quick to make, with cheap, everyday ingredients, and serves many people. i brought it to parties numerous times and everybody enjoyed it. the only thing i changed was the icing; i found it too much too sweet. now i either takd a third of the icing recipe or drizzle the cake with white chocolate instead. thanks so much for this video though! your instructions were so easy to follow, and this delicious recipe is one of my always go-tos.

Oh how fun, we have the same multi-pour edge glass measuring cup. Plus, the cup type measuring glass. I love mine. The measuring glass is one of my favorite kitchen utensils. If we ever went thrifting or antique shopping together we sure would do some damage to our bank accounts. :) Just got a "new to me" kitchen aid pro so might have to give this a try for my coworkers.

Hi Kelab, I was wondering the measuring cup you used in this video. I have the same cup, I got from my grandmother. I know it's way.......older than me. I'm 52 so she had it probably longer than me. Yes use the same amount, really any milk or cream can work it just adds richness and creaminess :)

Well thank you but no secret, I try and exercise regularly and eat all these sweets in moderation :) I used natural cocoa in this cake since I use baking soda. Usually Dutch processed is used with baking powder.
