I went to mesquite high school because my mom wanted me out the hood. I was mostly in pleasant grove and Balch springs 10 minutes away. Mesquite used to be friendly as f and the cops kept it on lock . I will say it’s gotten worse since they allowed the sales of alcohol in mesquite. The people from the hoods started getting section 8 housing in mesquite as the houses got older and the white people moved out renting through section 8 for secure payments. Should’ve hit pleasant grove and north Dallas on walnut hill and harry hines at night . You were so close but during the day things are different

Especially around forest when I’m at cks . Security guard just got killed right outside the doors about a week or 2 ago. That gym he mentioned was fitness connection. Mesquite is like the weiene hut jrs of dallas. Rough areas sure, but it deffently aint the wild west...

The crime rate in mesquite is high. Im not saying its hood but it does have some rough sections.

That’s probably where the disconnect is coming from. Mesquite actually does have a high crime rate. They just have a low m/urder rate. For most ppl that’s the only crime they pay attention to
