Erik, I'm sure you use one or something similar- drag out a "proposed construction schedule" or timing planner; timeline across in weeks and the various subs drawn as bars through the weeks they are expected to be on site- ending their bar on the last date for their work to be completed by. It will either confuse them or illuminate them! Or it may show some of the brighter ones how to long range plan some of the predictable things in their lives or help a prospective Mother in law plan a wedding! Love ya' Erik- your dinner looks safer and safer- you won't have to make him make good on his July 4th finish date- you got early on your mind- and the world stopping for two months didn't slow you getting there. BRAVO! Vaya

The exterior electrical boxes...are those old work boxes, screwed just to the panel? No other blocking is needed? Planning a barndo project in SE GA, hopefully before the end of the year.

Do you get a discount on that fiberglass looking material insulation for sound? As there are other brands like roxul that works better than fiberglass, I'm sure it's more expensive but its also fireproof so that's added protection. you guys seem to build such quality buildings, I was just wondering about this detail. thanks for the great video

Can we do floor stain and seal before framing? Slab and shell done, treat the concrete. Does this make sense?
@TexasBarndominiums4 жыл бұрын
Concrete needs to be at least 28 days old and less than 50% humidity. We frame before 28 days.

Erik, I searched your videos. I didn't see one on how you do windows. Is there anything different that you have to do versus a wood framed house?
@TexasBarndominiums4 жыл бұрын
Waynego Productions Yes, it’s different in the way they are trimmed. Other than that, it’s the same way.

what is the wind load these homes are engineered for?
@TexasBarndominiums4 жыл бұрын
Not engineered. We build them custom so it would cost an arm and a leg to engineer them all because they are weld together. We take a proven design and make it stronger for barndos.
