This is basically what I did when I first turbocharged my DA9 Integra back in 2003 (when I was 20). I bought one of the very first SSAutochrome turbo manifolds with a downpipe ($250), a Dodge Daytona T3 turbo from a junkyard that had an entire school bus full of random turbos ($50), a DSM side mount intercooler ($50), a set of DSM 440cc injectors ($75), a DSM BOV ($25), and I went above and beyond for a Zdyne Gold SECU ($1500) because I didn't want to blow up my 120k mile B18A1. My buddy tuned it on his DynoJet and it made 258 whp on 12 psi and was pretty quick. I had alot of fun in that car until the YS1 cable trans shot out every gear but 5th. I drove it home almost 40 miles with it stuck in 5th. After that I parted it out and scrapped the shell. I really wish I had just kept it and replaced the trans. I still miss that car. I sold the B18A1 to a kid in North Carolina who was swapping it into his CRX.

Get your fuel and timing parameters set along with the correct sparkplugs for the boost and fuel mapping, put a quiet exhaust on it, and paint the intercooler black and you'll have yourself a nice sleeper. 10 to 12 pounds of boost with a good tune should put a smile on your face. FlowMaster mufflers flow very well and sound virtually stock. Also try to get your airbox setup down low to hopefully duct in some cool air from right underneath the front bumper --- preferably a duct that will give the airbox some ram air affect. Late model Corvette front brake air cooling ducts are easy to find and are perfect for your application. 👍

A question about that FMIC kit; is the bov flange a greddy 2 bolt style? Did the pipings fit good and did you need to modify the piping's at all?
@TexasHondaChannel4 жыл бұрын
The intercooler kit was direct bolt on didn't require anything special and the blow off valve is a RS Greddy knock off but works pretty good

very good video! but the question i have is: u didnt't mess with compression at all?
@cater60082 жыл бұрын
high km engines ussualy have a lower compression and like the boost

Another question is if it's safe to daily? On low boost of course but would it be safe for the engine? Because I don't have the fund to buy another car to daily and I only have money to turn the daily into a showcase and I need a little juice in the car just to keep up on the freeway 😂

Could you list the exact parts you used since the Amazon links aren’t working

BULLI KID I know lol it’s not my first turbo civic I have done. If it blows i will go get this z6 and forge the internals on it and throw it in. They don’t call me D-guy for no reason 😁
@BulliKid5 жыл бұрын
If you were not tight on money would you use external wastegate set up?
@TexasHondaChannel5 жыл бұрын
BULLI KID Even if I was well off on money i prefer the internally gated because the stock gate hits 12psi and can handle up to 20psi but if I were wanting to go higher I would go externally gated.

What year is that civic? I have a 98 4dr but they say the 2000 civic front bumper will not fit on a 98. Is that true?
@TexasHondaChannel5 жыл бұрын
Edmund Kare I have a 1999 you can use the 1999-2000 bumper if you use the headlights/hood/fenders and bumper
