This is how I want my hair to look. I too don't like the full relaxed look. My 4c hair is beautiful but it's so much work and the styles I try only last a day and require so much heat. I might consider this in a year or so

For how long do you have to leave the relaxer in your hair before washing it off??
@hermaeusmora18274 жыл бұрын
Hi, love your hair! Do you dilute the relaxer in any way before relaxing? Also, how long do you leave it before you rinse out the relaxer?
@AgyeiwaaMensah4 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks so much :) To answer your questions, no I don't dilute the relaxer - I know some people add conditioner to weaken it but I've haven't tried that method yet. Also, I rinse out my relaxer almost immediately after application - The relaxer application takes about 10-13 mins, so the most I would sit for after this time is like 3-5 mins. I hope this is helpful

Your hair looks cute and still a lot of texture left I would do this. The difference is you didn't use a comb to make it straight? You just left it in how long after it was applied? I know the process takes 10-15 minutes to apply but how long did you leave it in before you washed it out?
@AgyeiwaaMensah4 жыл бұрын
Kisha Rivers Thanks so much! I wash the relaxer out right after application so it doesn’t over process. As you can see in the video we went over each section more than once, so in that time it processes enough (for the way I like my hair). I hope this helps ☺️ & please subscribe for more hair videos. I’m open to suggestions too

I have a question. So back in December i texturied my whole head and it went well. Now last month i texturized just my roots and edges and nothing went wrong but i didnt leave it long enough as i should have. My question is if i wanna retexturize my whole head will i be able to do that again? So it wont just be roots and edges
@AgyeiwaaMensah4 жыл бұрын
You can definitely texturize your whole head again but you have to be a lot more careful because it has already been processed. I would start by applying the relaxer on my roots & new growth, and only apply it to the rest of my hair last so it processes the least

@AgyeiwaaMensah4 жыл бұрын
I've been texlaxing every 6 months since 2016 - so about 4 years now. It hasn't affected my rate of hair growth in any way... I just have to be more careful when handling my hair the further away I am from a texlax, in order to manage the different textures as my hair grows out. I hope this is helpful 😌

Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video! I’m also considering texlaxing my hair, but would like to keep it thick. Is texlaxing and texturizing the same thing? Also, I noticed that your mother didn’t smooth the relaxer on your ends, is that correct? Your hair is very beautiful. Looking forward to see more of your hair updates 💕.
@AgyeiwaaMensah4 жыл бұрын
PARIS G Aww thank you so much💕 I really appreciate it! Yes, texlaxing and texturising is the same thing, I think people just alternate between the two lol. Also, you’re right - my mum doesn’t smooth the relaxer to the ends because they’ve been processed the most. Focusing too much on it will weaken the hair further which isn’t ideal. For the application, the roots are the most important part to focus on... she only drags it down for a seamless result & also because my hair slightly reverts after some time so it’s just to ensure that the texture is consistent. I’ll definitely be uploading more updates soon so please subscribe to stay in the loop ☺️ I just have braids at the moment but once they’re off I’ll be back with lots more hair content

@AgyeiwaaMensah4 жыл бұрын
li beige hey girl, I know how you feel! Before I first texturised my hair I was really hesitant too... I think it’s really important to not use too much of the relaxer, and keep an eye on processing time so that your hair doesn’t become straight. Kamiah Giles thank you ☺️ I’ve seen some people’s hair revert back to their natural texture after texlaxing - in that case I’d say they’re still natural. For me, my results are permanent so only my new growth grows back natural - so if I want to be 100% natural I’d have to transition or big chop

Dead skin cells oil and salt from sweat. Its washed with the braids in though and usually you use a braid spray with teatree oil to dissolve whatever is stuck and wont come out in the wash. There is residue but with proper maintenance hair should smell and look clean until you take it down and thats when you would remove what couldnt be removed. This is the case with all weaves and braids. Also this happens in dreds too but there are some dreded people that have a routine that removes this stuff from the center of the dred. Idk how
