@@bigbob5103 Unfortunately even though it's literally still their skill issue.. But these folks are literally trained to just call off any snipers. Bot/Hack or not. Cause if they are booted off, they would get to actually play the game without being overwhelmed by snipers in general. Kinda the same reason why hacking scouts almost never get kicked at all compared to good snipers. You *can* actually kill the former somewhat.

I feel Valve is to blame. By letting the bots run wild and having an outdated anticheat they have forced the community to be the judge, jury and executioner to deal with things. Fact is the majority of people have no clue who is cheating and are just guessing.

The "They're cheating" has just become an excuse for people who don't like getting sniped and to get the sniper that killed them out of the server. It's why in some servers, when there is an actual cheater, the team the cheater is on won't do anything about it, because they think the accuser is just being angry they were sniped

Turns out that he was a cheater impersonating a popular streamer - FIVE VAC BANS ON RECORD, ALL TF2. yeah i think he should just be banned from valve matchmaking altogether

Well to fair, if you have to look at the big picture. We have a new generation of gamers joining tf2. They aren't going to be nearly as good as the OG-Veteran players of TF2, so they are going to be struggling. When a great sniper main like you joins the server, it makes it quite difficult for anybody to really breathe around you without being instantly headshot and killed. Now keep in mind these are (mostly) young kids to teenagers(who are going through puberty most likely so they are moody as hell). The young kids will hackusate more likely than not due to anger, and the teenagers are going to rage and hackusate due of all the mood swings of growing up(or just leave the game). Not to mention they might have also waited a while for casual to load. Not hating no you or anything, just stating the opposite POV.

i'm just gonna use this video to vent about _that_ kind of sniper player. first of all, jbird is not _that_ kind of sniper. if you find yourself in a match with jbird or other snipers like him, it might be annoying to deal with, but the game does not revolve around them. however when _that_ sniper joins the match the server will completely orbit around him. they alone determine the outcome of a match, not you, your team, or the enemy team. what usually follows is half the server leaves after one match, because no one wants to put up with him. the moral of the story? jbird gets nutty shots, but is legit. _that_ sniper is identified by an inhuman level of consistency and often times skirts the line of scripts and cheats. use some critical thinking skills to determine if they're sus or not.

It's rough for newer players. When a decent amount of the snipers (in casual) that hit a lot of headshots are bots/cheaters they kinda get trained to think that lots of headshots probably means cheats. It really takes quite a bit of time played to tell the difference between a closet cheater who understands their cheats and a good sniper. Like that one person even thought he got shot through a wall (which of course isn't a thing in TF2). Then the people who falsely call cheats on purpose to get rid of a sniper that is annoying them confuse the matter further. It's a mess. lol

I think this is just more proof of how sniper's skill ceiling is extremely high, and reward is just as high. More so than any other class. A good sniper sitting out in the open can shut down the whole enemy team. It's gotta be addressed somehow, but Valve isn't doing anything, so the community has to pick up the slack. Hence why everyone is wary of cheating snipers. Quick to accuse and kick a good sniper. Cause you never know. The bot and cheating problem has made Sniper the #1 target for the community. So doing great with him is always bound to turn some heads.

when i encounter a suspicious sniper, i always go cloak and dagger + letranger spy and go behind that said sniper. If the sniper doesnt shoot my head in a blink of an eye when im cloaking then that sniper is legit, if he does then that sniper is cheating. Trust me, you cannot believe how much that method of cheat detection saves legit snipers from being kicked and confirms someone whos actually cheating.

The accusations are fair now more than ever because tf2 anticheat basically has sucked in the last few years with some cheaters never getting banned. This means they can just play with cheats and never get banned which means there’s going to be a good player getting accused once in a while.
