Totally nonsense ! The Prius allways had more than enough power ! I never felt it was slow ! Hell it goes up to 180 kph and it gets their more than fast enough. Even if there are cars that get to that kind of speed 3 seconds faster, it won't get you to your destination faster . 0-60 is kind of overrated in a country you hardly are allowed to go any faster than 60 mph don't you think ?

Toyota missed the mark on this. No rear vents? Can't have this in AZ. Lower headroom front and rear? So many of these cars are taxis and now you can only fit certain sized passengers? You just reduced your clientele market by a lot with those 2 things. Seems perfect for a little old lady though

What not a lot of people remember but when the 2nd gen Prius came out it was wayyy ahead for its time. All models came with push button start now the 2023 LEs come with a flip out key lol. The 2nd gen also was considered a midsize car due to its humongous space it came with specially the rear seats.

Prius has always been a niche, but these days honestly, I think it's a little rudderless. Toyota thinks so too, from this design. They know the Prius' days are numbered with being regarded as a mileage king because, let's face it, we'll all be driving electric in just a few years. So, if efficiency is out, that really only leaves one direction for Prius to go, and Toyota wisely has taken it the direction of stylish and fun.

Thanks Toyota for ruining the Prius for us tall guys! And then robbing even more headroom on the LTD by making the useless dual pane glass roof standard. So many manufacturers make a sunroof standard on the upper trims. It would be better for the customer if the sunroof was always an option, but I’m sure it is better somehow for the carmaker’s bottom line to have it standard on the upper trim. Besides the headroom issue the 2023 Prius is awesome! I’m interested to sit in one without the sunroof.

The price is high so you are going to have to be it love with the car as you would have many other options for the price . And lastly it sounds very noisy in the video I don't know if it's just the microphone but it sounds like a lot of road noise . You seem to be raising your voice just to talk to each other as you pick up speed . Have herd of the arm rests being very hard plastic . So as exciting as the look and power I don't think I'm going to be able to get one .

I love my 3rd gen Prius as well. I once drove 10 hours with a passenger who was 6 ft 9 in the passenger seat and he fit! I think If I can only fit a 6 ft 7 in passenger, in the new one, I’m OK with that. I’m only 5ft 9 myself so I will fit just fine. I’m surprised how low the starting price is. It’s about the same as the old one, adjusted for inflation but with more power and more tech. I’m 100% in. I’ll probably buy one in 2025 after it’s been selling a while and the recalls are mostly out of the way. My 2013 should hopefully get me 2 more years until then.

This is a pretty good look into "why people have flocked to SUV-type vehicles." What on EARTH is the WHOLE REASON why we own motor vehicles? "To get in them and drive around in them." And when a significant portion of the population can't even FIT into the dang things, well, you move to a vehicle that you -- and your passengers -- can fit into. And especially for older folks -- you do lose a bit of flexibility as you age -- it's massively easier to just "step into" an SUV, and step out of it -- than the work it takes to get in and out of something that's so low. It will be interesting to see if Prius sales increase or decrease with this new model.
